Momox pricing and app
I downloaded this app to rival CEX and to try to get more money than 1p a CD.
First download and i was wuite pleased as there was a standard rate of about 7p a CD.
Although i knew i was not going to make mich i was very disappointed with Momox today as I decided to sell some more CD’s and the rate has now dropped to 4p.😡
I will still continue to use this app as 4p is better than 1p but i would also like to say that some of the CD’s i scanned two days ago and got offers of 7p for them are now no longer being purchased and some of the high semand atiff is now no demand.
This i found suprising and a little suspicious.
Other than that it is the easiest app i have used for a very long time. With no nonsense advertising or any adverts stopping you from doing the job in hand.
Slow, unfair and no customer service
So, I am a regular user of both Ziffit and WeBuyBooks, both of which offer a similar service to Momox. However, I was tempted by a few higher offers that Momox gave, so I decided to break from my usual habit and send in a few boxes to them instead. That was 3 weeks ago and my first parcel has only just arrived to Germany and been processed. Considering I have had only a handful of items rejects from the 60+ boxes I have sent to Ziffit over the past through years, I was shocked to find that Momox rejected three items in that first box, all of which would have been accepted by the other two companies, I’m sure. The return charge is much higher at £12, so it’s really not an option. I dread to think how many more items out of my Momox boxes will be rejected too. Communication by telephone and email is also not possible, so there is no way to dispute their decision, unlike other companies who have very good customer service. My advice to anyone in the UK looking at Momox as an option: don’t be tempted by the better offers. You will be waiting a long time and they clearly have a much higher standard when it comes to what condition of used books they accept. Go with Ziffit and WeBuyBooks.
Still waiting for money they owe 2 months on!
I’ve had nothing but hassle wish I’d not bothered at all now,
I’m ill anyway and this has just increased stress for me,
They have recieved items and are happy with them they tried sending money but admittedly one of digits was wrong,
Then they tried two more times and still hasn’t worked they didn’t seem too bothered and said they couldn’t pay me via cheque or PayPal,
I then realised that they were based in Germany so they need to send me money to different details for international payments,
And there wasn’t the right space on account to add it as it’s different to standard sort and account number.
So emailed it to them,
The last I heard was 8 days ago when they said to expect payment within a few days I’m still waiting,
I’ve never ever had a problem with anyone paying me to my bank before I might add.
Plus I really get the impression from them that they are hoping I’ll just give up and forget it that’s the impression I have from the service and emails I’ve had.
But I’m not going to give up I’ll keep emailing them till I get what they owe me or will take other action if I can.
But I would just advice to not bother,
If they pay me I’ll adjust my review so it’s truthful and update it accordingly.
