Once your trial ends you can choose to continue your premium membership for just £1.49 per month or £14.99 per year. We charge for Moneyhub because you are the customer – not the product. Moneyhub is available across all major mobile and tablet devices, as well as desktops and laptops, meaning that wherever you choose to manage your money, Moneyhub is there for you.

• Payment will be charged to your iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal
• Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user’s Account Settings after purchase
• No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during the active subscription period. This does not affect your statutory rights

Getting there …

A bit buggy in places. For example:
When using the app, after adding a new connection which took me to the bank’s app, I’d then be returned to the Moneyhub web login rather than to the app.
I noticed a missing transaction (large enough to be obvious) on one account. Refreshing didn’t help, I had to remove and reconnect. This doesn’t inspire confidence that other, less obvious transactions might not be missing.
Worst (for me) is that transactions added to a manual account show up in analysis and graphs on the date the transaction was added rather than the date of the transaction itself. Support tell me this is “as expected”. This makes manual accounts useless if being used for historical transaction analysis.
Having said that, having the ability to see most of my cash, savings and credit cards in one place is certainly helpful. I’m unsure as yet whether I’ll continue to use beyond the free trial period. Fixing the manual account issue might convince me.

Exactly what I needed

Finding myself unable to check my bank balances because of delayed OTPs which kept timing out my log-in attempts, I figured there must be an easier way of keeping track of my total assets without multiple (failed) logins. Initially I looked for a simple app where I could manually enter my account balances, update them as and when, and see the totals at a glance. None of the apps fitted the bill. And then I found this one, which does just that, but so many other things besides!

Having plucked up the courage to link up my current accounts instead of simply entering totals manually, that is when the real benefits became apparent because all your past transactions suddenly appear, giving access to all kinds of additional info. In half an hour’s setting up time, I had more data at my disposal, analysed and summarised in all kinds of ways, than it would have taken me several days of spreadsheet work to collate, with the risk of errors and omissions.

This is an incredibly powerful and useful accounting tool for people untrained in figure work. I find it intuitive and easy to use. I love the way it learns from previous data where to categorise recurring or similar items of expenditure. I also appreciate the ability to customise the fields and labels to suit your needs. So many apps don’t give you that flexibility. I’ll definitely be subscribing when the six months are up.

Drove me to insanity - again!

Having linked my Lloyds Bank account and manually entered my Chase and Chase Savings - who are still not listed - I proceeded to link my National Savings & Investment account which you’ll find MoneyHub only recognises as NS&I. Despite trying on and off for four hours I cannot link my account either on my iPad app, or iPhone app nor through my browser. I've been able to successfully proceed through NS&I verification and 2FA only for MoneyHub to drop the ball and apologise for being unable to access the account and suggesting I return in a few minutes - I’d suggest the message be changed to hours. Every successful transfer of information shows up in my trusted devices and trusted browsers in my NS&I account which is aggravating as I have to keep going into my account and deleting batches of 15 trusted Linus (Chrome) browsers - the maximum permissible - that MoneyHub are creating. This is also not my first rodeo with MoneyHub having tried in February 2021 to use MoneyHub which resulted in the same issue and I gave up, deleted my accounts and canceled my Premium subscription. I’ll try one more time tomorrow, before having to delete my account get my £1.49 refunded, but I'm not holding my breath.

Hi Andrew, we are really sorry to hear of this experience with certain connections in the app. Our mission, to connect our customers to all of their accounts in one place, remains challenging and important because not all firms provide the open finance APIs to third party providers like Moneyhub for the best quality connection experience for their customers. Chase bank are legally obliged to provide an open banking API which they are not doing for their UK customers and we have reported to them to the FCA and been informed that they must have this in place by March 2023. In regards to NS&I as they don't provide an API either, coupled with the introduction of MFA we use a service to help establish a connection but can only provide what is returned to us from NS&I and as this works majority of the time we would rather not remove the connection completely from Moneyhub and encourage people to keep trying (as I know you have done). We will of course be sorry to see you go but we hope to see you return to Moneyhub and try us again in the future.
