Okay, let’s get the good stuff out of the way. The screenshots look good.

That’s it.

That is the beginning, middle and end of the good stuff.

Now, let’s talk about the rest.

This app does… wait for it… N.O.T.H.I.N.G.

Now, I know that every once in a while you get people complaining about bugs and what nought, here at the App store. Perhaps they have duff computers. That’s NOT what’s happening here.

I’m saying the app does nothing.

You get a dark screen. You get a little pop up with connection details. If you get your connection details right then you get a lists of your databases. And then…

NOTHING.

Try browsing your collections. NOTHING (empty black screen)

Try creating a database. NOTHING (empty black screen)

Try running a query. NOTHING (empty black screen)

It was even worse than that. When you hover over the button for doing queries, it actually says, “run this SQL”.

Huh?

Isn’t this supposed to be for Mongodb?

Here’s some more weird text. You know those ‘about’ sections that come with all respectable apps? You know how they all usually have information about the company, the copyright, the version number and so on. Well, here’s what the ‘about’ section says for this app (and I’m pasting it in):

Now, there does appear to be some kind of website and a VERY half-hearted one page attempt at documentation. However, I have seen enough of this app to declare it a SCAM.

That’s right. I think it’s an outright scam.

If I’m wrong about that and I have done something wrong or been unlucky then the owner needs to contact me EXTREMELY QUICKLY. If it turns out to be the case that I’m wrong then I’ll take the advice on board and withdraw this review.

Failing that, I’m calling it a scam. I’ll be demanding a refund from Apple with 24 hours and I’ll be posting a YouTube video about this.

The VERY BEST case scenario is that we’re dealing with really rubbish software. However, I think it’s a scam. It’s an outright scam and today the makers of this app just make a very powerful enemy. By the way, if Apple don’t refund me then as far as I’m concerned they’re part of the scam too and I’ll be holding their foot to the fire.

Every once in a while, a person comes along whom you should not mess around. I am that person.
