Decent but still needs a bit more work

Decent screenshot tool, probably the best I've found since having to abandon a very old version of pre-Evernote Skitch (now that it doesn't work on Big Sur).Sadly Monosnap still has a few major usability issues..1) After taking a snapshot the titlebar is made up of an editable textbox with the filename. As a result, it's very difficult to actually move the snapshot window since if you click on the title bar to drag it, it assumes you want to edit the filename.2) No SCP support. Please consider adding it! Is anyone really using SFTP anymore?3) Save button should just save the file to a predefined folder location, instead of bringing up a cumbersome file dialog... or at least make it an option. Screenshotting should be painless with minimal interaction and as few clicks as possible4) Text annotations are useful but a bit under-developed.- You cannot use Page Up/Down keys to navigate the caret to start/end. - You cannot select characters like you can with normal text input either, (ie, to delete or type over them). - Can't double click a word to select it (to delete the selected word).5) Subscription model.. not sure this is the best way to monetise this app. I'd happily pay £20 a year to use this app, if it just let me upload to a local dir aswell as SCPI have no interest in monosnap cloud (and I doubt many other people do either... image hosting is so ubiquitous these days, IMO you would be better off adding imgur support and charging for an annual software license, rather than having to provide your own hosting and infrastructure).Just my thoughts anyway.

Could you pleasethe capability to add multiple tabs?For examples, where I can carry on taking loads of captures and instead of it overrighting the last image, it creates a new tab with the new capture.Also, could you make the highlighter functionality similar to when you are creating a normal box but without the outline? So instead of the box being completely filled. It is slightly filled but still able to see what's been highlighted.... you can never get a straightline using the current highlighter function.

I use monosnap for my gaming videos. It is high quality and doesn’t put a horrible watermark over your hard work. You can pause the video at any time you wish to so you don’t have to edit things out. It records the sound from my gameplay and from me without editing or a mic. I am using a MacBook Pro but it should still work on older devices. The Photo editor is really good for me to make my thumbnails with. I wish there was a video editor on it though. I currently use iMovie which is good but it takes 2hrs to save to my computer whereas this takes no time whatsoever to save. It is very easy and user friendly more importantly, IT’S FREE!
Great screen capture tool

I need a screen capture tool that is easy to use when I want precision. Monosnap fits the bill so far. I particularly like the magnifier - very helpful in getting single pixel precision. I also like the storage options they have on offer. All in all, a well thought out tool.Suggestions for improvement: 1) Allow a rectangle of fixed dimensions to be captured with one click on the origin. 2) Allow the aspect ratio of the selection rectange to be constrained - this helps preceision and speed.
