A small gem
I love Journal and Board and I both find them so user friendly and just beautiful. I just downloaded Trace but did not have time to try it yet. The support team is super responsive and helpful. These apps just need some more small features to make it really big! Can’t wait.
Good, but could be so much better.
They’ve obviously given up on development of this. It’s stayed the same with no development for two years or more, and no updates for over a year. Shame as this could be so much better. It’s just too basic as it stands. No layers is a deal breaker. No visible spine, or even spine shadow (as you would see on a normal sketchbook) is also a big miss as it prevents it from feeling like opposing pages of a digital folding sketch book, just one large sketching space. Double tap for undo also a huge miss, as it is in trace. Also, no redo function. No canvas rotate, pita. No scales for the ruler, or protractor guide. And don’t even think about expecting a selection tool. Or for them to read a react to the suggestions page……there’s basic (even the ‘Pro’ version) and then there’s this. Close-ish, but definitely no cigar.
Good but could easily be Great!
A really good app that let’s you collect all those little sketches, thoughts and inspirations.
With it’s great pen styles, different moleskin inspired layouts and a solid colour selection method, this app could as per the title, actually be great! However though, the fact that the journals are all stored locally, are not accessible across different devices and perhaps even worse can’t be exported or imported into any new device, means that it doesn’t really have any real long term value as each time you upgrade your hardware you lose all your work prior...
Morpholio please fix this and give us a pro level great app!
