What's new in Moto Halo v1.2 This release brings several new core features — we have also re-designed several sections within the app to improve usability. NEW — Push Notifications & Bike Move Events SMS notifications have been upgraded and replaced with push notifications. When you update, we will ask you to enable this new feature to allow greater detail to be shown within an alert (as it triggers). Tapping a notification will open the alert directly within our app — giving quick access to more information relating to the current and previous status of the bike. • Push notifications for bike move events can be silenced temporarily via the new Snooze function available within the modes page NEW — Alert Inbox & Saved Alerts We added a new section within the app that links with our push notification feature. We are happy to announce vast improvements to the UI and functionality to allow for a smoother/faster user experience: Ride Calendar! We have added a calendar function to the ride list - allowing you to quickly jump backwards in time and see what days you were riding. Days with rides are highlighted on the calendar, so you can easily distinguish between days with activity and days when the bike was parked. Ride Naming! Ability to name or rename your rides! This feature ties in with the new search function - allowing you to add names & emojis to rides. The system will generate the title by default based on the stops on the ride — but you can easily rename it by tapping the pencil icon from the ride list. Ride Search! We have added the ability to search all your previous rides by location and the ride's name — making it much easier to search through past ride information. Other New Features! NEW: Added information banners showing low device battery and instances of GPS signal loss. NEW: Last ride panel inc. basic information about the last ride, map, summary and link to ride. NEW: Automatic Safety Alerting: Moto Halo now gives riders added protection on the road via automatic scanning for signs of severe impact or collision. The app will now prompt for the creation of an emergency contact for use with this service. Should the onboard device accelerometer detect any serious impact our monitoring centre will be alerted and contact the rider. In the case of no response and should the likelihood of a road traffic incident be high — we will notify the emergency contact and the relevant emergency services with a full incident report and bike location.
