◆ ABOUT US
Motor Sport is the world’s leading independent voice of motor racing. Building on a history, since 1924,covering all aspects of the sport in print, Motor Sport now projects its distinctive voice across all its digital channels sustaining and engaging a growing community of racing fans across the world.
The famous British Racing Green masthead still adorns the magazine, but it has evolved from a text heavy news publication which brought race results from the UK and abroad to eager fans during racing’s golden era in the 1950s and 1960s, into today’s premium magazine focussing on intelligent long-form features, expert analysis and beautiful photography. It covers the modern and historic Formula 1 and Sports Car racing, Le Mans, MotoGP, Road Cars and the growing historic racing scene.
Through its website Motor Sport offers breaking news and informed commentary of the key themes that affect motor racing across all digital platforms sparking conversations and debate among a new generation of readers. Its famous, in-depth podcasts look behind the headlines of contemporary racing and shed new light on developments from a measured and mature perspective.
In everything it does, Motor Sport cuts out the chaff of the overcrowded modern racing market to guide readers to the stories, events and products that matter. What we offer is what matters: the best, most prominent and most significant stories and trends in the motoring world while always keeping one eye on the past.

I bought my first copy of MotorSport and took it on a school trip in July 1967. The cover photo was Jim Clark preparing to board the Lotus 49 at Zandvoort to practice for the Dutch Grand Prix, taken from the roof of the pits before he went on to score the first victory for the Cosworth DFV. It also covered Gurney/Foyt winning Le Mans and Dan taking the Eagle to a magnificent victory at Spa. Has there ever been a more iconic issue? I still have that magazine, it lit my motor racing fire which still burns. It’s still the most honest and trustworthy periodical today, I wouldn’t be without it.
Latest update fails, again - updated

26th May app update seems to have cured the download and read offline problems. Pity it took 2 months to correct a poorly executed update. Though that’s quicker than the last time an update of this app caused the same problem. (Like to think lessons had been learned). I’ll give you 4 stars for content and reserve the fifth due to the poor update rollout. Could do better.Original post 31st March:This is so frustrating. The magazine content is great, but yet again the app has been updated and now I can no longer download issues for offline viewing, even though it detects an active subscription. Can’t even access the ones I saved previously. This seems to be a recurring theme with this app. Each time it’s updated it takes weeks to get it properly sorted. If only the app / program were half as good as the magazine journalism it would be great. But it isn’t.
Frustration….
older but faster
So you are a Motorsport subscriber and you get an email about some new article or even an old article….So if you click on the email link it, doesn’t allow you to read the article, or you click on the app…..and the article isn’t there either…so you try to search for the article with the search function and still the article doesn’t appear even if you type in the article title from the email you received.Motorsport is a good magazine and the website has lots of good content and the archive too…..but the app, emails and website obviously do not speak to each other to allow a nice use experience. It is probably quite a simple piece of coding to sort it out so why don’t they do it…..indifference, or just a deliberate attempt to annoy a long term reader and subscriber….
Easy Reading

I’ve always loved reading Motor Sport magazine, flicking through the pages, scanning articles and photo’s quickly to decide my pole position of articles and features. Nothing has changed in that pleasure, as each mag arrives each month. What the on-line mag does is enhance that experience and draw me in deeper to each feature. It’s easy reading and a great way to become absorbed. And the digital inserts are fantastic.
