Superb

Love this app, but trying to get back to watching my series and it’s not letting into the app, just keeps jumping me back to menu screen, was working fine last night, don’t know what’s going on, help please so I can get back to watching x

Update:
After asking about what was going on with the app, I had a response back pretty quickly, and was sorted out in under 20 minutes, and now I’ve been able to continue my series with no interruptions, thank you for help x

Really sorry about the problems we experienced on Friday, this was a widespread issue caused by a problem with the Facebook SDK that affected a number of iOS apps and was unfortunately beyond our control but we are sorry for the interruption to the service. Finaly!!! But still needs improvements

I was so excited when I saw this app! I have grown up with MTV and having an app where I can rewatch all the good shows is awesome. But with everything in the world, this app needs some improvements:
1- I don't think that the Play/Pause button is in the right place. Sometimes when I want to pause it I end up bringing the video all the way to the beginning and I think that is because of the placement of the button. Perhaps placing it in the middle of the screen like YT/Netflix would be a better option.

2- Some of the shows e.g Laguna Beach don’t have their episode in the right order so when you finish an episode, the one starting after does not match the correct order.

3- Having a skip button would be a good idea as sometimes you want to skip some bits of the episode or the intro to something.

4- A “burger menu” to display all the different sections of the app e.g “All shows”, “MTV Throwbacks”, “on this week”, would be a better option than having to scroll down the screen just to find the section that you want.

Hey, thanks for your review and detailed feedback, we really appreciate you taking the time to make suggestions for improvements and we've got to say, they're all completely valid.

To respond to each point:

1 - Absolutely, we're aware of usability issues with clicking the play/pause button that can sometimes cause playback to start from the beginning, our developers are working on this currently to, in the short-term, make the target area for this button bigger, to avoid conflict, but also more long-term to review the overall console and see how we can make it easier to use all round.

2 - Again, this is an issue that we're aware of and are currently working on. There are some gremlins in the coding for certain series that mean episodes appear in the wrong order, but we're picking these up as we find them and looking to correct them as soon as possible, whilst also working on preventing this happening in the future.

3 - That's a great idea, I'll put it to our developers to factor into the review of the play console.

4 - Again, another great idea that would make content more accessible so I'll pass it on to our developers.

I can't give you timelines on these developments at present, as there are often unforeseen complications with adding new features that then need to be addressed and we're constantly working on updating and improving the app anyway, but I will certain forward your review on to the developers because there are some great points in there and we genuinely do appreciate your feedback.

TERRIBLE - THIEVES

Right, so I downloaded the app, spent £3.99 (which is nothing but that’s not the point), so I could watch ex on the beach like the good old days as it helps me sleep, but I didn’t even make it passed 10 mins when it froze. So I tried going off and on the app, didn’t work, just showed mtv loading screen. So I tried refreshing the app, didn’t work, same outcome So then I tried turning my phone off and restarting it, guess what, didn’t work still a loading screen. So then I deleted the app, and downloaded it again, went back to the “get started” screen.

Now it won’t let me get onto my “account” even though it never gave me a chance or option to even create an “account” so now I’ve spent my hard earned money (£3.99 yeah I know but it’s not about the money) on something that logged me out and won’t let me back on.

Don’t get it! There a scam, dirty scammers, makes me sick to the bone, it is the worst possible app I’ve ever come across, and should be taken away from the App Store.

What they are doing is illegal, yeah it may be £3.99 but how many people download this app a day? SCAM!

Hi, thanks for your review and sorry about the problems you've been having.

When you now open the app, when you get to the registration page (the one with the yellow bar across the middle of the page), if you click on Restore Purchase, in small, light-blue text just below that yellow bar, it should allow you back in.

If that doesn't work though, please email us at MTVPlayHelp@viacom.com and if you have any further issues with playing content, could you please contact us using the in-app messenger (under settings on the homepage and then Contact Support) as that will pass through some data that may help us identify the cause of the issue and get it fixed.

Hopefully you'll be able to get back in and use the app without further issue, but we're here to help if you do have any further problems with it. Thanks.
