Decent app with some flaws

I like the app and the idea and almost all the execution. I have met with some mums through this app, which is my main aim.
For me the biggest frustration with this app is the notifications. Within the app I’ve turned all options for notifications off but I still get the pop ups and the red numbers for all sorts of stuff I’m not interested in (like reports and articles or discussions). All I really want to receive notice of is messages so I can respond promptly. I don’t really want to be notified the moment a new mum joins or someone has written something about some subject or rather or a “guide” has been published. I wish there was more personalisation with regards to the notifications!

Hello 👋
Thank you so much for your feedback about having the option to personalise your notifications further - we will definitely take this on board 👍

Great idea but app is poorly built and full of bugs

The concept is a fantastic idea and it genuinely works however the app itself is full of bugs - I get a red number for notifications, log on, sometimes there’s nothing, sometimes there’s a few new posts, I clear them all in app but the red badge on home screen remains. I have recently started randomly having a lingering notification to complete my profile and upload images - even though I’ve completed that stage. Sometimes it disappears for a few minutes and then it comes back again. Others have complained that it doesn’t let them log in. Character restriction on messages makes in depth conversation difficult - other mums and I have swapped numbers instead as it’s easier to message on other platforms. Option to see new mums - can’t remove the mums that I’ve already looked at/not interested in so have to sift through all of them before getting to anyone I haven’t seen before. Sometimes really really slow to load.
Would be nice to have more features like being able to respond to a particular comment/tag others and being able to turn notifications off about a post you’ve previously commented on but are no longer interested in. Also annoying how you can’t choose how to crop your profile picture - my heads chopped off on all of them 🤷🏻‍♀️

Usability review

Ok so for what it basically is, an app to meet other mums and dads - it’s fine. There’s some very annoying usability problems with this app and as the user base and content has grown and evolved naturally, this app has not. Admins keep banning/erasing content which is “buy/sell” even when it is in the buy/sell thread. The interface should only allow you to post into the buy/sell group and not allow other groups to be tagged at the same time. Or alternatively every local group should have a sub-thread which is buy/sell. This would make more sense as something for sale in Leeds may not be applicable for London N1.
People can spam by joining 100s of groups and posting to all of them. Interface should only allow you to post to X number of groups at a time. EVERYTHING appears in your mush ups feed. This should be split out and you can filter on groups which you want to see - like a main menu to choose which group you want to view.
You can request to befriend someone but you can’t undo it.
Mush ups should have date fields and perhaps there could be a calendar function to promote that content.

Thank you, this is really helpful feedback. A lot of this stuff we are working on at the moment as we are now overhauling the app having grown so quickly. You can turn off buy/sell notifications and you can already post to a number of groups at the same time - but not everyone is doing this so we need to improve! Thanks again, will share with the team.
