Music Tracker is the ultimate app for vinyl, CD, and cassette collectors on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Organise your entire physical music collection, build a wishlist of albums you want, and never lose track of what you own.
Search for any album, view detailed info and stunning cover art, and add it to your Library in seconds. Can't find a rare pressing? Add it manually with custom details. Organise albums into Spaces, which are custom collections you create to group your music however you like.
Key Features:
- Sync Across All Devices: Save an album on your iPhone and see it instantly on your iPad and Mac. Your Library and Spaces stay perfectly in sync, so you never buy the same vinyl twice.
- Organise with Spaces and Tags: Group your albums into custom Spaces and add Tags to categorise them by mood, era, genre, or anything you choose. Edit album details like title, artist, label, genre, and more.
- Track the Physical Location of Your Albums: Assign each album a Position in your home. Set a Location, a Shelving unit, and a specific Shelf so you always know exactly where every record is stored.
- Shazam Integration: Hear a song you love? Use the built-in Shazam feature to identify it, find the album, and add it to your Library or a Space right away.
- Save Your Favourite Lyrics: Capture lyrics and quotes that resonate with you. Display them on your Home Screen with a dedicated widget.
- Apple Ecosystem Integration: Take advantage of Siri, Shortcuts, and Widgets. Place your favourite quotes or quick-access Spaces right on your Home Screen.

I bought Music Tracker for my Mac, iPhone and iPad in Summer 2025, following my purchase of Book Tracker. I was very impressed with Book Tracker and I’m equally as impressed with Music Tracker. I did a lot of research before committing to this App, as I wanted to get it right. I have a lot of LPs and CDs and only wanted to go through the pain of importing these, just the once.Because there are so many ways to personalise the App to your own specific taste, it did take me a little time to get familiar with using it. But now that I’ve invested that time, I believe the App rewards you with what I feel is almost a bespoke user experience. The way it links into Discogs to obtain the metadata for your LP or CD is excellent as well. Also as an Apple user I like the GUI display. The backup facility is good and should be taken advantage of too.It is also worth mentioning the App support. I have had, on two or three occasions, reason to email support and have found it be excellent. It is quick, professional and it’s patently obvious that the user experience is core to the companies ethos. And as an ex IT Manager who appreciates good technical support, this alone is worth a lot.Highly recommended.Mark,Kent, England.
The best music tracker app

I have been looking for a good Mac music tracker for a long, long time and finally I have found one that does everything I need it to do and does it smoothly and well. There are still some features that I think it needs, but being the best in class is enough for the five stars. One look at the app was enough for me to pay the full price. The app is still in ongoing development and so this is my list of what it currently can't do that I hope the Dev can implement in future updates:1. Search parsing. Currently when searching for an album, there is one search box. Putting in a generic album title like 'feelings' will net you dozens of albums by dozens of artists. It doesn't just net you each album, but each edition of each album. Similarly if you put in a prolific artist like Miles Davis, you'll have to scroll through hundreds of results. Search needs to be able to parse 'Artist', 'Album' and 'Year' at minimum.2. Multiple Artists. Artists are currently parsed with 'First Name' 'Last Name'. However there are many artists with the same name. Just in my initial listings I have Atmosphere (2), Train (2), Espionage (4) and so on. For those three artists, the band name is 'First Name' and (2) or (4) is 'Last Name'. This means they are all listed at the top of the Artist list and messes up the alphabetisation. Then further down I have Mr. Jones (10) where 'First Name' is Mr. and 'Last Name' is Jones (10). It's an aesthetic problem but the Artist number should really be a separate parse to the names in order to alphabetise correctly in the Artist list. 3. The target market is those who still own physical media. All my music is digital. Not much of a problem as it's a tiny aesthetic in the app that can be ignored with a different view, but it would be nice to be able to log an album format as digital or even mp3 or flac, this currently isn't an option. By only focusing on physical media it might turn off a lot of customers when really, this is an excellent app for all.4. Data export and import. One of the biggest problems I have had with media trackers is that something gets corrupted or online fails and you end up in a big mess or having to redo the entire collection. A data export in spreadsheet form and import of that backup data is always a lifesaver.5. A minor quibble with such excellent work going into the app, but the app icon... It's not the best. Something a bit cleaner and more striking would really stand out and look nice.Really looking forward to watching this app develop and hopefully some of these suggestions can be crossed off.

Just what I needed, thanks developers!!
App good, sub not

Apps great but I wouldn’t pay a subscription for it. Shame! Why do developers always put in subscription models. A flat out one off fee is better

* Added the ability to sort items on the homepage / sidebar. For example, you can now choose whether to sort artists by surname or by name, in ascending or descending order.
