MusicConnect is a great way to get the most out of your iPhone, iPod touch and iPad's music library. Imagine Apple's Remote in reverse and that is exactly what you get!
MusicConnect for mac lets you play and browse the music on your iDevice whilst sitting at your computer. Let your speakers do all the work as you control the music playing on your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad from your mac from anywhere within range of your wifi!
You could be sitting outside, upstairs, in the basement or on the roof and you can have complete control over what is playing, without having to move a centimetre.
Get MusicConnect for iPad/iPhone on the iTunes App Store (there is a lite version so you can try before you buy), and get listening to your music in style!
1- Download MusicConnect from the iPhone App Store on your device
2- Open MusicConnect on your mac and on your iDevice and make sure they are connected to the same wifi network
3- Select "speaker" on your iDevice, then click the "Find Device" button on your mac
4- Your iDevice should appear on the list on your mac (if it does not, your network firewalls need adjusting). Select the device and it will collect music data from your iDevice
5- Once the information has cached you can get listening. Plug your iDevice into speakers and enjoy the music!
Please note- the music on the lite version will play for 15 seconds before changing to the next song. This is to let you test your connection and to see if this is the App for you. If you like MusicConnect Lite then please purchase the full version!

Great little tool - can't believe Apple haven't released this themselves!
Allows you to control your music playing off one of your iOS devices with another iOS device. Since most people who have an iPod/iPhone/iPad/Mac have at least 2 Apple devices this app makes complete sense!
Okay… But needs major updating.
Okay first off… it does work and very well with iPod's with small librarys but with my 64GB I've got over 7000 songs and it takes for ever to update itself but it's gotten quicker to actually load up anything at all and still the whole library doesn't show up. It limits me to about a third of it which is annoying but anything in a playlist comes up so I'm yet to cheat to making a playlist with everything in there and see if I can play everything.
From that point it's not as nice to look at as apposed to Apple's official Remote app, it's just words which doesn't really matter but still this app working on the Mac should allow you to see album covers/art but it doesn't and when sorting the library in order I can't for some reason do it by albums or album by artist which is what I usually use or cover flow uses on you iPod.
So there are some huge faults which I hope to be resolved in the near future because it's hell of a lot cheaper than some programs out there and it's a lot faster but none compare to Apple's remote app which is a shame and a nuisance because that paticular app only allows you to control your Mac and not your iPod/iPhone or iPad.
OH! And one more paticular thing, which should immediatly be updated is to have volume control! And to let the songs continously play rather than playing one at a time.
Up to six family members will be able to use this app with Family Sharing enabled.
