I would consider myself as one of the success stories Alhamdullilah. I am probably one of the rare cases here but I managed to find my husband within 5 days of downloading the app (back in summer 2022) and had our nikkah 7 months later. Alhamdullilah we are happier than ever. My husband didn’t have the same ease, he was on the app on and off for 2 years when he found me and did have a few matches before that didn’t work out. The app itself is pretty good, much better than other ones I’ve tried. I used the free version and didn’t feel forced to subscribe and had access to most of the functions. The down sides is that I don’t agree with functions such as sharing profiles - the last think you’d want to happen is to be judged/talked about by your match’s friends and family so early on, before connections have been formed. All in all, I’d definitely advise to give it a go if traditional routes are not for you. Just definitely keep in mind that you can find your fair share of the not-so-nice profiles but every now and again you may find a diamond in the rough inshaAllah.

The ladies/girls are on this app think they’re something lol they’re average but they expect tom cruise Leonardo dicaprio looking guys lol I’m not that bad looking myself but most of the girls that I instant chat with either block me or don’t reply I mean how will you know if this person is right for you if you don’t get to know them. Bloody gold diggers they want a guy who’s a multimillionaire what about people like me who’s try to live a simple life. These are gold diggers in hijab not even honest with themselves. Petty girls disgusting attitude and bad in all aspects. I messaged a lot of them they start interviewing you before even asking how are you they ask you “tell me about yourself”. I replied to one saying how are you she blocked me just for asking how are you. And majority of the profile pictures are blurred cmon how are you supposed like someone if you can’t even see them. My advice to all the brothers would be just find someone naturally rather than virtually because trust me you don’t know what they did in their past years they might look all innocent and what not but they’re here for a reason maybe undesirable in the real world that’s why. Girls don’t always marry someone who already has everything because than to him you’re not as valuable as you might think. always look for someone with potential and a good character and build you’re life together with him that you both will treasure each other and know the each other’s value. Salams, I’m gonna have to leave an objective unbiased review here not subjective or biased one and I hope you guys are healthy and well but I have on issue with some of the new ethnicity/race that’s been added a while ago and I can’t find White/Caucasians specifically as before because everyone is putting “European” and anyone can put that as it’s very ambiguous and the term ‘European’ is ambiguous as it can mean White/Caucasians or others “who live in European countries” some of them somehow now identify themselves as “European” as if they’re white or Caucasian when it actually means native White/Caucasian who is European (that’s how the official race/ethnicity identification works too such as on Home office, passports etc) not some who lives there or naturalised and they’re putting that on app for example they’re British or American and they’re supposed to British Pakistan or American Somali etc but they’re putting British European or American European. How am I supposed to find only White/Caucasian ones if anyone can be “European” and this the reason some of the new change is terrible and just wrong and totally confusing. I’m sure the new ones can be added in without having to remove any of them in the process. Add the old ones back ASAP! especially where it says White/Caucasian as before and it should be European/Caucasian or European/White if anything not just “European” that’s very ambiguous and confusing and everyone is putting that on the app and it’s difficult also impossible to find White/Caucasians specifically. It would be impossible to use for me if that’s not added in. It needs to change or added back in without removing any of the new ones, if that makes sense. Thanks for listening and understanding. 👍

This is actually a culmination of feedback from friends and myself. We’re all professionals, well travelled and educated - raised in London in our late 20s/early30s. Have to say this app does not cater to our demographic, majority of the profiles are men who are either not active or in sectors that professional women would not be matched to. Certainly would not recommend anyone buys the premium service as it is far from it. The quality of men on the app is sub par and if you’re seeking someone of a professional calibre who is active on the app then it’s unlikely you’ll find a match. Myself and friends have unfortunately given the app a chance more than once, because there are a dearth of Muslim dating apps...we’ve been disappointed every time. I know there are stories of success but doesn’t negate the fact the app is not suitable for many of us. You cannot see when someone was last active so essentially you have no idea if they are still using the platform (this is a major negative). I do hope there are developers out there who develop new and innovative apps for professional millennial Muslims, muzmatch will probably remain a popular app just because of sheer numbers but the quality is practically non-existent. Do think twice and be wary (not everyone on the app has good/halal intentions). For those who have not used the app before it does seem it is overly orientated towards south Asians, there are a lot of “unemployed” men and many are divorced or parents - not an issue per se but just FYI.
