Description
My TMAX Connect powered by Vodafone allows you to remotely access your TMAX (only specific models), for example, to locate the bike, receive an alert when the bike battery is low or activate the horn and blinker.
The TMAX is also protected from theft through Vodafone Stolen Vehicle Tracking and Recovery Service, which uses a network of secure operating centres that manage alerts 24/7 and liaise with the police.
My TMAX Connect is part of the standard equipment of TMAX specific models and includes an embedded telematics system that must be activated. For more information, please contact your Yamaha dealer.

Alert let down
The app is not as good as the hype.
One main reason i got the T Max DX is because of the tracking and Geofencing. Unfortunately you only get an in app notification not an sms. It means the bike could be miles away before you know it. Why no sms ? it’s running and working with Vodafone!!
Also, the marketing suggests you can immobilise the engine remotely if the bike is stolen. Not so in the UK.
Easy to use though !!

Unfortunately the app only works on in app notification and not text messages for Geofence notifications
The APP gives customers access to locate their TMAX at any time and if the bike is moved while the engine is off, the customer receives an alert from the SOC via text message and a phone call. Best Rgds, Vodafone Automotive UK
Missing obvious features
This ‘tracking’ option was one of the main reasons why I bought my T-Max DX.
The app is pretty good, and was set-up with my bike in around 15mins, over the phone with Vodafone.
However, the feature advertises where you could disable the engine is not there, this would have been a very useful feature.
The most disappointing area though is the geo-fencing. It works well but if you enter or leave a set geo-fenced area, I assumed you would get a text alert. Instead you get an app notification, which does t work whatsoever if the app isn’t running. This means you need to remember to keep the app open at all times. Why you could t have an option for an sms seems crazy, especially as it’s run by Vodafone.
There are a few bugs with the trip history reports, often you can’t access them.
I still haven’t figured how to turn this feature off, as it’s a little ‘big brother’ knowing that every trip is being recorded in minute detail.
Overall a good app that could be improved. The real test will be if the bike gets nicked!
Very disappointed
The app is connected, but it is impossible to open any of the services- After making the report to customer service still without solution- very disappointed. One of the main reasons I bought the Tmax Tech is the tracker
