VIEW CONTENT IN STUNNING DETAIL
Anime and manga pages show up in incredible detail with a simple-to-use user interface. When a show aired, if that manga is still in publication, plots, characters, recommendations: it’s all the information you could ever want about a particular anime or manga. Drill down to see what people thought of a series, and see if you agree or disagree. Check out related characters and voice actors, and find even more series by your favorite seiyuu.

BE NOTIFIED WHEN THE NEXT EPISODE AIRS
Keep track of shows that are currently airing with live notifications! When enabled, you'll be notified when the next episode airs.

DISCOVER NEW ANIME AND MANGA
Discover what’s trending and what’s popular among the people with the discovery hub. Discover current and upcoming seasons of anime so you can find new series to watch without having to search! Extremely Good, Some Suggestions

Switched to this app and AniList about three or something years ago, don’t regret it. Really easy to use features like adding episodes/chapters and setting a series to planned/watching etc.

Might just be me, but recently the search function has been very very slow - I have started using the website to add new series. Also I’ve found that some series are not findable by synonymous names.

Tokubetsu+ has some really nice and cool features that I would want, but I think it’s a bit too expensive for the stuff provided. Also I have seen you mention a few times that this is a solo free time project and wanted to ask if it was possible to make it open source or even collaborate with the official AniList website.

Good points, bad points

You can edit and add anime on your list easily but sometimes these changes are not saved. This tends to happen more when editing a score for a show. At the start of a new anime season, avid anime fans that enjoy watching shows as they air might experience the same problem I did.
I was editing my list a lot. Adding things to my watching and plan to watch lists. However after a while I noticed a very small red bar at the top of my screen, notifying me that my account had been temporarily been banned because I was editing my list more than most people do.
I was unbanned a few hours later but after I finished adding shows to my list and had started to edit the shows I had watched while waiting to be unbanned, it happened again.
This will happen if you edit multiple shows at once so if you like watching all your weekly shows at once, this can cause some inconvenience. If you like watching one show at once in a big marathon, you shouldn't have any problems.
Overall, it is very good but needs minor improvements for many aspects of the app.

Decent, improvements needed to make it even better

Everything is pretty good, everything you need for a basic anime/manga reviewing app. I’d like it if when you put something on “rewatching” it didn’t mix it with watching. I also wish you guys will work more on the friends side of the app, would be a cool feature if there was some sort of timeline update for people you add, see like “user____ has completed____” maybe even some group chat feature. I also would like it if there was some way to send my friends a link to my profile/the app, spent some time trying to look for an invite/link. Finally, is it possible to have some sort of ‘unique’ anime/manga statistic added? I can see in my profile the total anime and manga however, stuff like Attack on Titan season 1,2,3,4 all count as separate animes. I like how I can rate each season but I wish there’d be a way to them count as the same anime for a “Total unique anime:___” I’d hope stuff like dragon ball and dragon ball Z wouldn’t count as the same but separate.

Thank you for reading.
