Would like to see it work in both portrait and landscape mode when used on a tablet. Also have not been able to get Google Assistant to control myQ.

Been using MyQ now for several years to control both gate and garage. It saves time and effort and set up was helped by support from Andrew. I would like to enhance the features by linking it to Alexa or at least to the possibilities of IFTTT but in the uk it seems somewhat limited. Even linking to siri would be good so that the gate or the garage could be opened on voice prompt. So whilst the MyQ is good for its intended purpose, techno’s moving on and MyQ needs to move with the times too.

If you’re reading reviews prior to buying a system, can I suggest you buy a different door system.This app technically works, but it’s from 20 years ago. It doesn’t integrate with any IoT setup (or even basic iOS components like Siri, widgets or shortcuts). It does have a watch app, but only the main account holder can use it (it won’t appear on the watches of family members you share the device to).

The app can open and close the gates via a large button. There is currently no integration with any of the eco systems eg, apple Home, Google, Home Assistant etc. The schedule system allows you to schedule closing the gates BUT you can’t schedule opening?????? Why - who knows ? It is a shame as the general system is responsive and the schedule to close hasn’t missed a beat - a massive opportunity missed.
