Bug on Statistics Update

User interface is very good plus so many helpful information and menus. However, statistics update is not showing anything. Plus, it would be much easier if the “check-in” is allowed to be automated by users allowing access to location not just when using the app, but anytime.

Thank you.

Nic_moni ,

Easy to use and also informative

Thank you for producing an app which allows easy access into premises and in addition, provides the daily information we all require. It’s great to have local, national and world data at your fingertips throughout the pandemic.
It is also beneficial to have access to health professionals and clinics should the need arise.
I have used the app both in Peninsula Malaysia and Sabah to gain entry without any problems. Thank you again.

Developer Response ,

Dear User, Thank you for your support and patience with us. We hope you continue to use MySejahtera to help the government in controlling this outbreak. If you have any feedback or suggestion, you could write to us at mysejahterasupport@nacsa.gov.my

Mission Creep ,

Mission Creep

According to Exodus Privacy, MySejahtera app collects location data which is expected from a contact tracing app. But, there are 14 permission of different capabilities that is very much of a concern, such as:

Pair with Bluetooth devices
Directly call phone numbers
Find accounts on your phone
Read your contacts
Read the contents of any external storage on your phone like SD cards
Modify or delete the contents of your SD cards
Prevent phone from sleeping
Modify your contacts
I don’t know about you but this is definitely something that I feel is a misuse and abuse of the app. If MySejahtera is only being used for what the Health DG says it is being used for, then it would be just fine for the app to collect the relevant data. But what are all these extra frills that we were not made aware of?

Should we be trusting the authorities with all this data just because they say that they won’t abuse it? I am very sceptical.

Developer Response ,

Dear User, Rest assured your information is not being misused or misapplied by this app. Do not hesitate to write to us at our HELPDESK if you have further issues and we will revert to you soon.
