Description
The UK’s number one skateboard app, which maps every skatepark in the UK, includes a gamification of the classic game S.K.A.T.E., a skateboard event calendar and skate store directory
MySkate is the first UK skateboarding app which allows skateboarders to search and locate skateparks across the country by entering a location or postcode. It includes maps, photos, park features, reviews and check-in’s for each individual skate park.
The app also features the only mobile version of one of skateboarding’s most loved games, S.K.A.T.E. Players challenge their friends to a game, using the app to randomly generate tricks which all attempt to land. The player who lands the most tricks, wins the game.

Could Potentially Be Really Great
So far the app has no real problems, it’s simple and really useful. The S.K.A.T.E game mode is a great idea and really fun. The skatepark finder need some work though. Some of the info is a little bit flaky and it doesn’t always recommend the town you search for. New and innovative features such as getting skate teachers through the app who are available or being able to walkthrough the parks would be great. Some kind of comments section would also be appreciated.
Improved but still lacking. Expect to use Gmaps for images
Good concepts, like the ability to map street spots. Imagery is MASSIVELY lacking despite being available elsewhere. It’s strength lies with events, maps and engaging a community. Need to find a way to reward contributions on the app. Profile merits / lvls maybe?!
Log in issues
Couldn’t log in on the app, as there is a bug when you are creating a new account that when you enter your date of birth, there is no enter button. And if you click off back to the form then it erases the DOB you choose. So I couldn’t confirm registration as it wouldn’t let me enter DOB.
I then go on the website to make an account so I can then log in. Created account, go to log in on app and then it says that I’ve entered an incorrect password. I’ve double checked the password and log in info many times now. No issues. But still can’t log in.
This is the second time I’ve tried to download this app as I want to use it, but I can’t make it past the log in stage. Maybe just allow access to app without having to log in if you’re not gonna make it a smooth process 🤷♀️
I’ve never had this many issues trying to create an account for something before.
Shame, as it seems like a useful app.

Are you currently using the newest version of the app?
On the latest version there is a “Done” button on the keyboard for the date of birth picker.
The MySkate app also does NOT have a web version that you can register on. It’s only available as this mobile app.
