This is a far better app than its predecessor. It now has balances and notifications to remind you to top up when your credit reaches a certain point. It would be nice to have live top up and also to be able to top up both accounts in one transaction rather than individually. Shouldn’t be too difficult, select the amount you want to top up and add to a basket then do the same with the other account, go to basket and pay for both in one transaction.EDIT: although essentially the app works fine, I still have the same questions which I mentioned in my first review a few years ago. Why do we still have to make separate purchases for gas and electric, why are you reluctant to add a basket into which we can put both purchases and post for them in one transaction. Also, still waiting for live updates to the “SMART” meter. Come on guys.

I switched from my former Gas and Electric supplier after many years and transferred on Dec 27th due to the sales pitch from the Rep who knocked my door.He stated that this app would give me live updates as to what my consumption is and my remaining meter balance was.So far, the data it has provided is 12-24hrs old - not Live as stated. However, this could be due to the switch over of suppliers and will probably settle down once my meters are talking to the supplier and National Grid sufficiently.The notifications within the app are useless. It defaults to ALL, considering you requested Low Credit but my credit went down to below 4GBP and it didn’t notify me.There is a plus side. Once your meters have sent sufficient data, I do like the weekly usage Bar Chart and Daily Graph Chart that shows precisely what you used and when within the app of both cost and consumption. That is, until your IHD loses its connection with the Gas meter and no matter how many times you reboot/reset the IHD, it say, “waiting for balance” for a few days, then comes back on by itself. Obviously, an issue somewhere.

I would like to say this is a perfect app but I can’t as others have said the upload of balance on the account is slow and misleading and a way of switching to Emergency if needed is missing (most people live on their phones and some can not get up to go check on the smart meter in the kitchen, and some of us are at work and come home to find the gas or electric off when we could of switched over while we’re out!!) otherwise this is a very easy to understand app, but please seriously theses two things would make life sooo much easier.

I’ve been with E for a number of years now and I honestly wouldn’t change for anything! I was approached in a shopping centre last month with them promising me they could save me £££ I told them they couldn’t compare they didn’t believe me and asked to see my app which I showed them and they were shocked and agreed they could not compete with the prices I was paying so win win best energy company I’ve ever been with and I wouldn’t change for anything!!
