Description

MyZones calculates training heart rate zones that can be used by runners, cyclists, triathletes from keen fitness enthusiasts to focussed racers.

Unlike one-fits-all formulas MyZones can calculate your personal zones from maximum heart rate, race HR data, or professional lab test results.

MyZones provides explanations of each training zone and the different methods you can use to calculate them.

The training zones calculated can be used to set your heart rate monitor (e.g. Polar, Garmin or Suunto). It also allows you to enter the zones into training diaries such as iSMARTtrain.

The accuracy and experience loaded into MyZones means you get to train and race with better results.

A rip off

An app that loads in 20 seconds and is rip off of some free calculations that are public domain is just a rip off.

Expecting value add and got a sour taste in my mouth

The fact is that most people DONT know their zones and most people CANNOT work them out is the reason
behind MZ. MZ's zones are actually personalised because you can use whichever of the five possible metrics you decide, and not have to use one of those really bad HR zones wall charts in a gym. The zones are also fully explained to ensure the correct mixture of training, another piece of expertise loaded into the App which self coached athletes routinely get wrong. Sadly most know zone names or throw phrases about but they do not know what to do with them - MZ helps athletes with this difficult task.

Brilliant app!

I found this app really easy to use, just needed to type in my max heart rate and it calculated all the heart rate zones for me instantly in a simple to read display.
To make it even better it goes into detail describing the different levels within the heart rate zones saying what it is and the effects of training at each level.
In my opinion it's an app that's definately worth having plus it's made my turbo sessions a bit more interesting.
