This has been a burden in our lives for a few years now and finally we have got to the bottom of it.
For a few years now, someone who we trusted to follow on our personal Instagram account has been consistently informing THE WORLD of our private menu items and stories.
There has been so much information given to them about us, our friends and our menu items - all without our permission or knowledge.
After a long time of trying to figure out who it could be, for various reasons, we had a suspicion.
To try and prove this, we came up with an idea. We blocked everyone from viewing our Instagram stories except ONE menu item. (Those on our private account must have been wondering why we haven’t had stories on there for a while.)
Over the past five months, we have posted a series of stories to see if they made their way into the world. And you know what, they did! The story about Garlic BBQ returning and then the latest story about Fully Loaded Chips.
It’s been tough keeping it to ourselves and not making any comment at all, especially when the stories have been leaked, however we had to. Now we know for certain which account/ individual it’s come from.
We have saved and screenshotted all the original stories which clearly show just one menu item.

Appalling App
Absolute waste of time. Can’t log in, can’t chose Click & Collect or Delivery. What is the point of this App. Every update fails to deliver.
Unbelievable that a company this big could have such a poor App.
Their digital media team or whoever is responsible for this shambles should be sacked immediately as it must be costing them thousands in lost revenues.
UPDATE: I have now been contacted by the developer to say this is fixed which it seems to be, but don’t they do any testing before releasing an update?
I still can’t order through the app though, it takes me to the website every time and despite the fact I have enabled location services I have to put in a postcode every time to find my nearest branch. Why can’t you just save your local branch in your profile like most other apps?

Deliveroo didn’t deliver!!!!
Ordered from Nando’s for delivery and the delivery driver calls my mobile and asks if I can confirm it is my boyfriend who is accepting the delivery outside. I replied and said no my boyfriend is not outside he is sat next to me and that there is no Deliveroo delivery driver outside my house? He then asks the postcode of my address so I gave it to him along with my full address, a long silence after, he explains he is the other side of the city. He explained that he has another order with him that needs to be delivered and that he could not deliver ours because the second order he had to deliver would get cold. He said that he would try and get the order we sent out with another Deliveroo delivery person. I then got a call from Deliveroo CS and they basically said that I’m not getting any food and I would get a refund. I said well I still want my food cant you get the order re sent out and that I didn’t mind waiting a little longer. They said yes I could make another order but I would still have to go through the process again and pay, again. Not happy at all considering it was Deliveroo’s fault.
Worse app ever
I recently used the Nando's app to place an order, but unfortunately, the app failed to provide me with any indication that my order had been placed. Despite the payment being deducted from my account, there was no update or notification regarding the status of my order. As a result, I had to wait for around 10 minutes, hoping for some sort of confirmation or update through the app.
As I grew increasingly concerned, I contacted the branch to enquire about my order. While waiting on hold, an automated operator suggested checking for updates on the order and reviewing my email. Unfortunately, I had not received any email updates, leading me to the conclusion that my payment had been processed, but my order had not been placed.
I have to say, my experience with this app has been extremely disappointing. It lacks basic features such as order history, notifications, and updates on the status of your order. In comparison, Deliveroo provides a much better service with all of the aforementioned features. Overall, I would not recommend this app to anyone looking for a reliable and efficient ordering experience.
Based on my experience, I can confidently say that I will never use this app again for any future orders, be it takeaway or dine-in. The lack of basic features and the confusion caused by the missing order status updates has left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I will be seeking an alternative app that provides a more reliable and efficient service.
