NATS ( The United Kingdom’s Air Navigation Service Provider ) has more than a decade of experience in measuring and reporting on Air Navigation safety culture,
helping client organisations develop strong and reliable safety cultures of their own. As a world class leader in safety, NATS applies these same methods in-house,
providing a foundation for our commitment to continuous safety improvement. All organisations reinforce thousands of assumptions every day, sometimes intentionally
and sometimes unintentionally.
The NATS approach to Safety Culture is to understand what assumptions are shaping people’s behaviour and the decisions they make. This allows us to create tailored
improvement plans that reinforce the assumptions we want to see emerging and discourage those we don’t.
The NATS Safety Culture Methodology comprises 3 services that have been used repeatedly to deliver improvement in NATS and in other companies across many safety critical industries:
Firstly the NATS Safety Culture Self Assessment App is provided to help you gain an initial understanding of your safety culture.
Secondly the NATS Diagnostic Survey provides an in-depth look at attitudes and perceptions across your organisation. It is a highly streamlined process that provides a
cost-effective insight into Safety Culture across all occupational roles
Thirdly NATS Safety Culture Improvement Campaigns provide a tailored safety culture improvement plan based upon tried and tested methods from the NATS Safety Culture Toolkit.

Quick simple easy tool
A great safety tool which is simple and easy to use. I like the fact that if you feel safety has improved or even declined since the last completed survey you can easily complete another survey, this will allow constant and accurate safety information to be provided from the tool.
This app challenges you to think about safety. It encourages a healthy unease to think about things differently. Everyone in the organisation has a responsibility for safety. A comprehensive overview of the safety in everything we do is included after the survey
A really thought provoking survey that provides a useful perspective to evaluating your safety culture and highlighting strengths, weaknesses and opportunities for improvement and focus. The summary report also gives the output a professional edge that can be used to circulate the findings with colleagues.
Up to six family members will be able to use this app with Family Sharing enabled.
