Description
Take the stress out of navigating your surroundings with Nav by ViaOpta! Nav is a navigation app designed to help those with low vision reach their desired destination with voice-guided turn-by-turn navigation. This app was designed in partnership with visually impaired users. You can use the app to:
• Give you your current position as a street address
• Insert waypoints into your journey for a more efficient route
• List the junctions/intersections around you, alongside their distances from you
• Set favourite locations by category
• Integrated haptic interactions make it easier for visually impaired users to use the application
• Use the integrated Be My Eyes, a service which allows users to call a sighted volunteer for live support

Useful but doesn't work when locked
I've only used this app once so far but I found it really useful and accurate, it just helped me to feel more confident that I wouldn't get lost so thanks :) The only problem I had was that it stopped giving me instructions when I locked my phone, which was quite impractical. I felt vulnerable holding my phone in my hand whilst walking around because it would be easy for someone to grab so I wanted to lock it and put it in my bag whilst using headphones but when I did it stopped directing me. If this was possible, it would be perfect.
