Editors' Notes

It’s no wonder this charming game became an Internet sensation. Cute cats always help, but when you consider the Pokémon-style collection, Neko Atsume’s popularity seems almost inevitable. Simplicity is another part of its secret—you just set out treats and toys in your yard, then check back later to see which kitties have shown up to enjoy them. You can snap photos to share with friends and discuss exactly how to tempt all 48 felines into making an appearance. We quickly got in the habit of puttering around our yard for a few minutes every couple hours…but it’s not like we’re obsessed or anything. Honest.

Omg where can I start well in the game I love that all the graphics are great and the chino cats are so cute! Although I wish it could automatically refill your cat food but I still adore the game so much. I’m so happy that they have fixed the bugs and I just can’t explain how it is to have this game. If you don’t know wether to get this game make the right choice and get it.
If you want to get it but don’t know what to do then it’s simple: when your first cat comes take a picture of it by pressing menu and camera. When you have took a pic save it to their album. When your cats go they will leave you fish or golden fish. These can be used to buy more comfy furniture or more for your cats to play with. If you want your cats to go early and only get 1 or 2 fish, then simply press on menu and on items and put that object away. You replace your cat food by pressing refill because if you don’t have any more food no cats will come. I really hope you get this amazing, playful game xx

Neko Atsume review by freezespoon

Neko Atsume is a cat collection simulator designed with an adorable art style. It benefits from the casual market of games the smartphone has come to be known for Neko Atsume succeeds is this regards and work effectively as a fun time waster without the necessities of in app purchase. It has very little strategy required only needing you to pick the toys you think your cats would like the most while this should damage the experience of the game it actually benefits from it by bringing in a more casual audience however it also has options for more serious gamers by having a wide variety of cats to care to and the collectible “mementos” which you earn for caring to specific cats needs by allowing them to use the specific toys they want causing them to return more often. However one major problem with the game is its content in lack its lacking and could be better it also lacks in the post game content the second you collect everything the game runs out of things to do this could be avoided with the addition of some sort of tamagotchi style pet caring game that you can play during the main game perhaps it could even benefit you in the main game with bonuses for playing. In short Neko Atsume is a fun cat collection simulator with an irresistible charm a must have for any cat lover. 4/5
