Description

Control an army struggling for survival in the post-apocalyptic world. Choose one of the 4 unique factions—Moloch, Borgo, The Outpost, The Hegemony—and defeat your opponent in tactical warfare. Play solo against an AI opponent or against a human player in an asynchronous cross-platform multiplayer mode.
Prove that you have what it takes to survive:
March with the machines of Moloch, leading its army toward setting the new world order.
Become Borgo and unite the forces of the mutants who spread terror in the wastelands.
Lead The Outpost, humanity's last and only hope, and try to beat the machines in against-the-odds guerrilla warfare.
Be the boss of The Hegemony, a land of gangers uncaring about the fate of others, living only for violence and their mad entertainment.

Great it’s back, but…

…there are a number of problems. So it’s great to have an update after years of having to play it on an old iPad with an ancient OS. This works well on the latest PadOS. The graphics have been improved so it’s easier to see who is going to attack who. Good to still have the same music too.

However I’ve got quite a few problems with the current version:
- Seem to be limited to two players - the third and fourth player options simply don’t seem to work
- Can’t restore old purchases, so only the four default armies are available. To be fair, this is made clear when you first open the app, but it’s still disappointing
- The tiles and action menu block the view of the board when playing. In the old version, the tiles in your hand sat neatly to one side. Now they overlap the board, meaning you have to minimise them to study the board, then maximise them to remind you what you hold, then minimise to have another look.. You get my point
- It’s so slow! The AI takes an age to make it’s moves. Why does it need so long, the previous version didn’t
- They’ve had a go at improving the game sounds, like the sound of a knife, but doesn’t quite work for me

In summary, I shall keep playing on my ancient version on my ancient iPad but will watch with interest to see how this version develops

Love this game

Such a great game, especially now the new version has working multiplayer notifications. But where are the stats? I wanna know which army I play best with, use the most, get the biggest win with, is the least played. And a friends league table, all stuff that could easily be recorded and keep me playing even more. Looking forward to the return of 3 & 4 player games but it’s taking a while so I hope we get a nice update and some more armies to purchase.

Abject failure

The latest upgrade has broken on my old iPad. It won't even open, just shows a blank screen for a minute, then crashes out.

I've enjoyed the old version of the game for many years, and put up with the loss of the old factions, lack of multiplayers, and the continual crashes in this new version, but a version that won't play at all is just taking space on my tablet, so I will have to drop it.
