Newsdaily - UK & News 4+

I have been pleasantly surprised by how good this app is. It is sensibly set out and easy to customise so you can easily see the news stories relevant to you. However, you sometimes have to trawl through numerous stories to find the most relevant ones so there’s quite a lot of ‘noise’. Also, while I like the basic version, I couldn’t work out how to access the rich version (as per the pictures shown on the app’s App Store page) though I could see the rich versions of individual stories once I drilled down into them. Overall, it’s a pretty good app with a lot of potential and I think I will use it every day as a useful aggregator and an alternative to the likes of Apple News, Google News and Flipboard. This one is a bit cleaner and simpler though it may not appeal to everyone for that reason.

This is a great app, easy to use, sources all the right info and is well presented. Having tried what feels like dozens of news apps this one is far and away the best.

The only problem (and it is quite a big one and means I have to use other news apps as well) is that each section only has twenty news stories in it at any time and there doesn't seem to be any way of sourcing any more news prior to these twenty stories. Can you let us have access to more please ? Most news apps keep scrolling back through time to older stories that may have come in a day or so ago ......... thanks

Like many people I have found it increasingly hard to respect British press & TV news. Also, although there are decent people on Twitter posting on fascinating non-news subjects, nastiness and vileness on Twitter has become overwhelming. This app has allowed me to escape from all this, yet read comprehensive headlines on key subjects.

The beauty of the app is that it sets out the headlines in a précis form of the article - no more than a sentence - and identifies the source so you can decide on likely veracity. If you click on a headline you get a summary of the article, sometimes the full article. I have discovered I’m no less informed than before, because actual news content in the press and on TV is minimal.

Also, the app is better in my view than Apple & Google News which give too much detail with arbitrary and random coverage.

The developer deserves a pat on the back for this app, which with a bit of original input has the potential to grow into something special.
