Ekadasi is a sacred day that occurs on the 11th day after the New and Full moons. According to ancient Vedic civilization, this is a great day to fast and practice meditation. Mother Earth is composed of over 70% water; so are our bodies. The moon has a profound affect on all bodies of water; and so it does on our bodies. When we choose to fast on Ekadasi we are respecting our bodies; we are saving money by not buying or cooking food; we are benefited in many ways.
