Somethings not right

This may be pure coincidence. But I doubt it. Since installing this app a couple of years ago. I’ve not been able to shut my account down. I have had hundreds of spam/fishing scam emails that I never used to get since installing this app. I have also had an increase in cold callers ringing my phone during my work hours and two attempts at accessing my bank account through digital transactions claiming to be the Apple App Store. A while ago I tested a theory and went onto the Nextdoor app and spent around 30 minutes just browsing all the hate racism and negativity that’s posted on it. After leaving the app I opened my emails to find I had to log into my email account as it had flagged six failed attempted logins whilst I was in the app. Shortly after I received a notification of a failed charge to my iTunes account for £12:99. It was listed as an itinerary nes purchase. So I contacted Apple support whoCould find no record of any charge to my account. I now have Apple investigating what data is shared and sold by the Nextdoor app. The charge to my account was not a one off. It has happened a number of times but I never realised it could have been linked to the app until I started to put 2 and 2 together and finally realised it was only happening when this app is active.

It’s a great little app I’ve got my own little with a group on there I’ve got 154 people and I’ve only been using it for the last four months so it’s working okay or I thought it was out working okay I think neighbourhood has got a glitch I’ve asked the organisers but they tell me each right but I know it’s definitely not right. I tell all my members in the team to put on the notification so they get the top information on that day. They’ve all got any notifications on and some people don’t get it until three days later information I’m giving out is weather warnings when I appear it’s totally no good three days later they need it the same day could you sort this out for me please after than that it’s a nice bit of software I would recommend it to anybodyJames from East Anglia coast weather

Disappointing and depressing to find out who you live amongst

Don’t think I’ve written an app review before, such is my disappointment with this app. I live in a nice area; I was hoping that it would be heartwarming to see how my community join together and a good way to get involved with the community or find people with similar interests but frankly wish I hadn’t joined because I’ve discovered how sneery and judgemental some of my neighbours are at heart. The amount of neighbours who jump to conclusions and think the worst of people in our community are too widespread. It largely becomes a wingeing forum. I’ve mostly been just a passive observer but sometimes I pick people up on their comments and then it’s a pile-on to me. This also occurred when I’ve posted a question - the arrogant and demeaning replies left me feeling negative. I’ve not seen overtly racist comments. The for sale listings were fine (unlike in some other reviews) but you can get that functionality on other common platforms. I suppose the only positive was the lost and find- frequently lost bank cards or keys or pets finding their way back to their owner. All in all the negatives far outweigh the positives and made me sad that these are people I live amongst, so I’ve deleted the app and deactivated the account. I’m feeling better already; I guess ignorance is bliss. We’ll just have to hope we don’t lose bank cards or keys!

Toxic people in abundance - zero stars if I could

Update: I revisited this app recently as I wanted to give the community aspect of it another chance - BUT: it’s still the same. I’ve now deleted the app entirely. I’ve witnessed the very worst of humanity whilst using this app. Deformation of character, racism, bigots and just the most disgusting people who shouldn’t be given a voice. Even the more ‘minor’ people just moan and complain. One ridiculous woman complained about a Morrisons Utility person coming to her door (they take meter readings) and reported him for admiring her pot plants (which she posted a vid of from her ring door bell). Really? He admires your plants whilst waiting for you to answer the door because YOU didn’t submit meter readings, and this warrants complaining to his superiors?! Get a life. Do these sad acts have nothing better to do than create misery for others? What seals my opinion of this app as a toxic stage for these awful people is that the Nextdoor mods often side with the very people they should be banning from this platform. It’s absolutely abhorrent. F- / 0 out of 10 / kthxbye ———This app has just got worse and worse. It’s full of keyboard warrior Karens and plenty of toxic people that we’d all be better off not giving a stage. Do yourself a favour and steer clear.
