The Adapt App gives you exclusive access to the latest and greatest features of your Nike Adapt footwear.

Tighten, loosen and fine-tune the fit of each shoe using the Adapt App, or connect your Apple Watch to easily make adjustments from your wrist.

Change your fit when you're on the go using the Gestures feature. It's as easy as tapping your heel and doesn't require a phone, so you can stay focused on your activity.

The first time you put on your shoes, the app will create two modes; one tuned for activity and the other relaxing. You can also create personalised fits with custom modes.

Instantly adjust your shoes using only your voice with five different Siri Shortcuts.

Every detail within the app matches the look and feel of the shoes you're connected to.

Light packs combine iconic Nike colours with pulsing, strobe and gradient light effects. Set how long you want your shoes to glow, or turn off the lights completely.

Know exactly how much power you have left, and get notified when you need to charge your shoes.

The Adapt App gives you a secure connection to your Nike Adapt shoes. Once your shoes are paired, only you can control your fit.

The Adapt App allows you to remotely adjust the fit of your Nike Adapt shoes and requires data like current fit, LED colour and battery level to be transmitted from the shoes to the app. For more information, go to

Software update idea.

I don’t know if the Nike Team will read this, but it would be nice to be able to select the duration of time that the LED’s would stay illuminated. So if you could sneak that into the next update I’ll give you an extra star.

Pretty good but a few flaws

Once set up the app is pretty good - lots of options to control and customise your shoes.

A few things though.

Firstly, initial set up was a real pain. At first I was getting the “shoes already paired” error. This was driving me nuts but eventually sorted it by doing a system reset of the shoes (although I did get a can’t connect error at first).

Once I got past the initial setup things were much better. The auto-lace option was easy to set up and the sliders work well. The auto-fit on initial setup was a bit loose for my liking but that’s totally subjective.

However, as mentioned by someone else, when setting up custom presets the app does seem to apply any offset in the size of your feet detected at the auto-fit stage, which is annoying but not deal breaking as you can work around that.

Also, setting up presets isn’t overly intuitive to start with. Rather than adding and naming a preset and then configuring it you need to adjust your settings in the main part of the app and then create the custom setting which then uses the settings you’ve configured. You can’t edit a preset once created though, it’s a delete and recreate job unfortunately.

With a little work and a few tweaks this app would be great.

Also, if you could have a complication kn Apple Watch to perform a specific action such as untie your shoes, rather than just one that opens the (slow) watch app that would be awesome.

Auto adapt Max don’t waste your money

2 pairs purchased, both pairs of shoes poor quality in various areas especially for the price, both pairs the autolacing systems don’t work correctly, and the app doesn’t do as you request it to, doesn’t save personal setting’s correctly, if you save at 70% equally on the screen, set up a mode, it should override if your feet have a 5% difference in the auto setup, yet go back to tightness settings and no, it’ll show that 5% still there even though you’ve had it set at 70%!!!
(Used as an example % ratio!)

Far from the quality of product I expected from Nike, the shoes and App, and a massive disappointment for me!
