Well it seems this is the first review in a year, and unfortunately it has to be the same as others.
Step 1: Download
Step 2: Log in........No wont let you, wont recognize you membership number.
Step 3: Delete app!
Took all of five minutes, Oh Nikon multinational company you are supposed to be?
You obviously don't pay peanuts because a monkey would have created a better app that might've worked.

Don't bother

Like many Nikon users, I receive this magazine quarterly - for free. Nikon set the bar pretty low to qualify for this freebie - not too surprising when you flick through it as it is just advertising material, albeit nicely presented. I always enjoy the 15 minutes it takes to skim through it.
Included with the latest issue was a mention of the free app in the App Store so I thought why not - the price is right, and it'll be something to read on the train journey into work.
I laughed out loud when I saw that Nikon expected me to buy the online version; why would I?
If you shoot Nikon just register your gear on Nikon's site and get this magazine (sales brochure?) free in the post. It'll look nice on the coffee table.

The app may be free but the issues aren't. As an NPU member this comes by post in printed form for free. Although there is additional content it seems less than about 2% of the overall content so you're effectively buying ( in my quick estimation) 98% duplicated from the free copy.

I was excited about the prospect of opting for an iPad issue and reducing the environmental impact of getting the content in printed form. This would reduce costs for cedar publishing and Nikon as well as improving their corporate environmental profiles so why are we expected to pay for the privilege. It seems someone thought an app would be a nice little earner.....

Very poor.

(edit- Sportpic, how dare you question the professional status of those making comments. I'm a full time commercial and portrait photographer. If you are willing to pay for what you already get for free then more fool you! Now how about keeping your comments to the topic of discussing the app, rather than making derogatory generalisations about people who don't hold your opinion?)
