We’ve been with Nimbl for around a year now and, aside from the clunky nature of the app itself, I think it’s fantastic. My kids are learning to manage their money effectively, I can set up my transfer for their pocket money and then forget about it so it saves me time too. It’s comforting to know they’re not carrying cash so they’re safer when out and about too, no fear of being short changed for one thing! The app needs attention, it’s slow and regularly crashes, but it’s bearable.

We’ve been with Nimbl for around a year now and, aside from the clunky nature of the app itself, I think it’s fantastic. It’s comforting to know they’re not carrying cash so they’re safer when out and about too, no fear of being short changed for one thing! App was great until Caxton came along

Been using nimbl for a few years now and it was always brilliant, easy to use app and it was easily controllable but now that Caxton is part of nimbl the app has become an absolute pain.It used to be really simple, use face id and your in on the app with your account however now every time I login i have to set a password, turn on Face ID, press the login button, wait for the pop up to appear for me to login on their website instead of being built into the app like it used to be, login then close that window, set password again and turn on Face ID just for me to have to repeat the process every single time I want to use the app and it’s a real pain. Plus the app is (atleast for the children) now a lot more complicated and stuff is more hidden away with less info and features.Please revert to the old version of the app or make it easier to use or just fix the login system.

Works really well on my iPhone XR now all the latest updates applied like Face ID etc. However it would be nice to have the ability to write a small note when I transfer money to kids account like....”birthday money from Granny” or “for cleaning the car”. Sadly it just says “transfer from dad” without the ability to edit the message. Unless of course I’m just not finding this feature, which brings me to my second suggestion - provide a help button or user guide for the app in the settings menu. Surely this is a basic requirement of any app? This will earn 5 stars from me with these features added.

The idea is great. One of the cheapest and simplest kids’ card providers out there. That said, the app itself, with only a few simple optimisations, can be made much more user friendly. Users are nowadays spoilt with sleek fast reliable apps. Currently this app feels like a web page, not an app. 1) Almost every tap causes sever comms and hence the next screen opens slow. It’s a tiny amount of data! Just pre-fetch everything in the background and cache to be used on next app launch. 2) two many taps needed for even the simplest of operations, like transferring money off card. 3) remove useless information dialog boxes with one “OK” button on them like “transfer is complete”. User assumes that it’s complete a brief moment after they’ve tapped “transfer”. Only if extremely rare cases when it fails you need to tell them that it failed.Try using apps of popular Fintech startups like Monzo and Revolut - you may get few ideas there.
