Notefile 4+

I seem to have had this installed on both iOS and OSX since I started with Apple hardware. I use it constantly, it’s always there waiting for me to either retrieve something or add something for future reference or just a quick way to sync stuff across devices. Unassuming and always dependable.

Just bought it, love it. Gets out of the way and is always there. This is a gem of an app.

Simple, unpretentious, yet exquisitely efficient, Notefile is a genuine pleasure to use. The interface is, to my mind, far cleaner and more Apple-like than Apple's own Notes offering; but then I've never liked that distinctly un-Apple-like full screen desktop blotter metaphor. With Notefile there isn't even a full screen option, just an adequately sized clean buff canvas with no distractions. Syncing notes across all devices is flawless via iCloud, but a free Junecloud account is available for those who'd prefer it. I initially thought that the lack of a tags capability would limit the app's potential, but that proves not to be the case. This app is for notes, pure and simple. Always available, it's the perfect jotter for ideas, quick reminders, stuff that can be processed further or discarded at a later time. Used in such a manner, it really can't be faulted.
