Noteful: Note-Taking on PDF 4+

My experience with this app begins since 3 months when I used it in an alternative note taking app to Goodnotes. I have been using Goodnotes for the last 3 years but they don’t respect an enormous amount of students and consumers. The experience of writing in Noteful is incredible, I have never ever see it in another app, especially when I compared Noteful to Goodnotes, I found Goodnotes has a delayed response to my speed of writing. On the other hand, Noteful gives me a sense of smoothness and I have actually don’t see it in another apps except notability and Notes from apple. I really appreciate the whole developers of this app!, the last update was pretty cool, adding some icons and colors to the folders is the feature what I want it to be in this app!. I want to complain from few things to enhance the app: 1. Searching of handwritten notes will be a nice feature. 2. More adjustments to Text box, I feel it’s like hard to move it from place to another. 3. When I opening a such file, I would like to import the file which I imported externally not from files app or drive just directly to the chosen file, not to (Unfiled folder) or to search where I will put this file. I highly recommend to use this app and thank you!!

I started using this app after the recent disastrous Notability update. I've been using it for a week now and I'm quite satisfied with the UX so far. It has basically everything that I need, and it's quite intuitive and easy to use. The variety of options on each of the tools on the toolbar is quite useful. I love how I'm allowed to favorite as many colors as I want and how easily accessible they are on the toolbar. Also, the option to customize the toolbar is simply fantastic. However, I've noticed a design layout that I believe could be improved for a more intuitive user experience. Specifically, when I click on the highlighter button in the toolbar, a small window appears with two tabs: one for the highlighter tool and another for the tape tool. I find it quite odd to have two distinct tools hidden behind a single icon button. And it's quite inconvenient when trying to quickly access either the highlighter or tape tool. I'd like to suggest a more user-friendly approach by separating these tools under different icon buttons in the toolbar. This would make it easier for users to access each tool independently and swiftly without any unnecessary steps.

I absolutely love this app, you don’t need to buy the premium version to get the most out of it which is very much appreciated. Furthermore, if you do want to upgrade, you’re not locked into a monthly subscription but rather a one time payment of 4.99. It’s ad free and has plenty of features that I’ve been really enjoying like the sticker collections that come both standard and with the option to import your own. I quite literally don’t have a single bad thing to say about this app.

However, there are two things that I’ve come across which I hope to see resolved in the future. While they don’t impact the star rating or my love for this app, they are small changes which I think will make a huge difference to me.

These things are:
1. When zoomed in the eraser does not work properly, it only removes chunks of a line rather than erasing the part of the drawing it moves over. This makes erasing really difficult and annoying.
2. No option to lock a layer/sticker or other item. When trying to move text by selecting it, I often have to move things around so that I don’t select things I don’t want. This is especially hard with stickers because the area around them can be larger than the picture itself so they get picked up in the selection process. Being able to lock layers would make selecting, moving and resizing things so much easier.

I hope the app creators make these changes in the future but until then thank you so much for the perfect note taking app.
