This wasn’t the easiest process and took a few attempts. As has been mentioned a lot of the digital banks details cannot be verified. I had the same problem with Kroo, so deposited a minimal sum from an alternative bank account with my fingers crossed, until I could see it in my beehive account. I noticed that some information on other areas of the site are out of date by two years. In some places. This site needs updating badly. On the positive side savings rate is one of the best ones around at the moment.

I found opening a new Beehive account easy. Although there were a number of steps I found it reassuring that I had to prove my ID and set up strong security. I initially used my laptop but it was easy to switch to my phone to send photos of ID and selfie. The app downloaded quickly on my phone and I was able to log in and start using it straight away. I made a mistake with my opening deposit but I was able to get through to a very helpful lady on customer service quickly who told me what to do and it all worked just as she had said it would. Highly recommend.

I opened a savings account on Martin Lewis’ recommendation. It all set up with no issue so no complaints there. But it seems so slow. I initially transferred £10 from my current account - it took over one hour to appear. I’ve just transferred £240 and it’s still not appeared in my savings account which makes me nervous. There seems to be no way of refreshing or seeing pending transactions which is a worry. So it’s okay from me. Does the job but could be much better.

First, I liked Beehive. But what's with the weird N logo, looks like it's a freehand attempt by an internal staff competition winner. It's awful. And who chose the sickly green? But... opening a new account was easy. However, I couldn't transfer the full amount. The 'Help' is not helpful. There's an ambiguous statement about limiting but doesn't explain why. The app doesn't store the Key Facts or T&Cs. And no agent available. This is a pretty basic app clearly based on limited or no user research. But the online contact form is hilarious. You literally cannot include ANY special characters. Wow. These devs really don't know much about coding. It's not 2001.
