WHAT IS AN ESCAPE GAME? HOW IS IT PLAYED?
The basics of the game principle come from the adventure genre. The goal of the game is to leave the place where you are trapped. This task requires skill, patience, and logical thinking from the player. This place is usually a room that has at least one locked door and holds some items and hints.
If you tap your finger on an object, you examine it, similar to a classic point and click adventure. Watch out! It may be worthwhile taking a close look at objects and having looking from all sides ...
Sometimes multiple objects can even be combined to receive new objects or hints. Occasionally, the meaning of an item becomes apparent to you at a later time. That's why you should regularly check your inventory to make sure you are aware of the items you carry with you. If you interpret the clues correctly, you can solve the puzzles with the help of the objects and escape.

GRAPHICS: Beautiful look, all in 3D - the unique graphics make the Escape Game NOX something special!

POINT & CLICK AND ESCAPE ROOM:
The combination of classic point and click adventure, hidden objects and modern room escape mechanics bring a breath of fresh air to the genre. Accompanied by an exciting story, NOX offers players a high-quality gaming experience and sets itself apart from other Room Escape Games.

Great game

Very good escape game although I would not have completed it without hints. Started off fairly easy and got harder but still doable, but the last few rooms were just too complicated for me. Personally I don’t see how anyone could get the last puzzle without hints - I got that the monitors showed rooms but which rooms to pick? They showed 8 rooms and you have to pick 3. The file gave hints to 3 rooms but those letters didn’t work. Still, I enjoyed it and I love that you can choose NOT to have targeted ads, and still play the game. More devs should also this. The ads that were played were not very frequent and sometimes actually reminded me to have a break, which isn’t a bad thing! As with all games recently though, I found myself resorting to a magnifying glass or screenshots and zoom ins to see some of the important clues properly. Some kind of zoom in function would be useful for those of us with poorer eyesight! Also, the fast travel function is very useful and should be available much earlier - there’s no puzzle in having to scroll through rooms back and forth to check clues again, it’s just annoying! Finally, I thought the ending was rubbish, sorry devs but it was just pointless in my opinion.

Very interesting, challenging but fun!

So I really enjoy the point and click escape games, and thought I’d give this a go as seemed my style and good reviews. The graphics and visuals plus music are really good, couldn’t fault it. The actual play through was also enjoyable, and fairly challenging at points, although the hints were really helpful with a progression so they were actually hints and not just giving the game away. I dislike being able to click on things/zoom in and them be irrelevant while somethings you can’t open/interact with etc so sometimes the lack of consistency made it a little harder to be certain which bits would be helpful. Unfortunately, my game glitches a few times (don’t know if my device or game or other) so missed out on some of the snow globe stories and one or two dialogue bars when exploring, requiring restarting the game. Also, I might just be dumb, but I had to skip a few of the mini games as I couldn’t work out how or what I was supposed to do properly. Finally, although I did enjoy the culmination of the story, I had to look up more of an explanation to the ending as it was a bit too confusing. Most of this is me just being a bit nit picky but overall I really enjoyed this, and would definitely play a sequel or similar game by the developers. I think it took me 3-4 hours with some distractions etc to finish it totally which was great for me really. So yeah, definitely recommend!

Engrossing

At first I didn’t like the graphics style (pixelation) but soon got used to it and realised it was a puzzle element. I found the game very engrossing. The puzzles had me puzzled a lot! Fortunately someone had posted a walkthrough which I really needed sometimes. Three of the mini-games were extremely frustrating - the ones where you had to manoeuvre things into place - almost gave up a couple of times and was convinced there was a glitch - but there wasn’t! It took me a while to realise I could ‘fast travel’ between rooms, which saved a lot of bother. The ending was a bit daft but that didn’t spoil anything. The 30 second ads were very annoying. But all in all a very enjoyable way to spend time not doing all the things that should be done. And free! Thank you Developers :-)
