The link to connect with live chat doesn’t work. They give you the url for the live chat. Once you do get in it using a browser it takes them nearly an hour or two to respond and once they have.. by then you’ve been spending the whole time clicking on your phone screen to keep the conversation active and you find the moment you’ve left it a few mins too long.. they’ve responded and cancelled the conversation because you haven’t responded within the time frame they accept when the time frame they took to even respond was nearly 100 times longer! Then when you try to call them you spend over an hour waiting just to speak to somebody and then get cut off!!!! Worst experience ever.. all to discuss the bill that they’ve been sending you which you’d like to query! They offer a call back service but the call back time is days away. Absolutely crazy! This service needs to be improved massively if they expect to keep happy customers!

Live Chat did not load on multiple occasions on my iPhone X. After retrying I did get to the chat page then although it worked, I found the user interface clunky. When entering my email address the email text box was almost entirely obscured by the iOS keyboard and every time I sent a new message the keyboard disappeared and the previous messages scrolled off the top of the screen. I think this app needs better reliability when loading the live chat feature and a review of the user interface when completing the user info form, sending messages and scrolling through previous messages. It would be good if the app loaded more quickly but I find the rest of the features are helpful and work well.

No longer useful
I’ve had this app for a few years, and found the facility to send meter readings very helpful; I would routinely upload my readings on the first day of the month so that I could check my usage, as the number of members in the household varied quite often, and I didn’t want to have an unexpectedly large bill at the end of the quarter.
I’m not sure why, but following the installation of a Smart Meter, I can no longer access details of my electricity usage. This makes the app useless, as I can’t even see the details from BEFORE I had the Smart Meter installed. The problem might be with NPower, or the Smart Meter, rather than the app itself, but as I’m the one putting information in, I would have expected to get useful and useable information back. It’s a shame, but at present I can’t justify a higher rating. ☹️
