Description

New Zealand Sign Language Dictionary contains diagrams and videos for over 4,000 English words and phrases.

A "Word of the Day" feature introduces you to a new vocabulary word every day.

All the diagrams are built in to the application so they can be viewed offline. To view the videos, an active Internet connection is required.

Terrific app, needs some incremental improvement

I'm loving this app, which I'm using to teach myself and my baby NZSL together. It's excellent and so helpful; I'm in it every day for help and support.
The points annon01 makes in their review are excellent and I agree with them.
Most of all what I need is a method of saving words - I'm focusing on a batch of words at any time, and it's bothersome to be looking them up and I tend to forget them until I need them. Having no way of saving my focus words is holding back my learning. It would be hugely helpful to have an editable list of saved words.
Would be grateful for a larger screen size compatible with bigger iPhones like the iPhone X. Thank you

Great!

I really like this app, thanks for developing! :-)

A few words crash the app, but it is just occasionally and I think this will get smoothed out with time.

Being new to NZSL, I would like to have a key/section accessible via help icon/menu to define what the different arrows mean etc.

It would be most helpful to be able to scrub through the video playbar, this would allow me to see the signs more slowly and pause at any stage to examine it carefully (rather than having to replay each time).

Another idea could be an option to open info "i" on a sign, that could describe any logic/reason behind a sign. This would help with learning. E.g. 'Blue': the sign rubs the back of hand as this is where the blue veins are! (so I was told!)

Keep up the good work!
