Official Cookidoo App 4+

Have had Cookidoo for a year now and it has transformed my cooking experience. I am an experienced cook with a library of cookery books and collected recipes. I hardly use them now.
Cookidoo makes cooking so easy for everyone. Children, the elderly, the unconfident. I can plan my weekly menu, write a shopping list and even order my shopping if needed.
Added functionality means that I can adjust a recipe to my own taste and scale it for the numbers I need (within reason).
If I use Google translate I can access recipes World wide which has really made cooking and eating a wonderful adventure.
Completely worth the subscription (annual) with regular updates. I am so very pleased with it.

I have been struggling for over a week now to get access to the Cookidoo app, and this has been in back to back contact with customer support (which has been kind and responsive). I signed up for Cookidoo, first from the app, which led me to the website. The website said I had received a confirmation email, which I never received. Then I contacted customer support to mention this to me. First they told me I couldn’t try from the app, which I knew. Then they told me to check my junk which of course I had checked. Then they told me to send them the serial number of the machine that they would contact another team to look into. Then they told me to try again, and that it should be working. When I tried again (from website) it said to contact customer support. I tried from the thermomix and it didn’t work. I tried resetting my password and it didn’t work. I tried from the app and it didn’t work. So I contacted customer support AGAIN. And they told me they would contact another team… which replied asking me to try from somewhere that was not the website, to which I replied I had tried on both the phone app and the thermomix itself. And that’s where I am one week afterwards, still waiting to be able to access the app and with probably more communications with customer support pending.

It’s crazy to me that such an expensive and premium product has such bad technology for the app (which isn’t even free).

I unknowingly registered using the US website and emailed Vorwerk to try to fix this. I was told it would be fixed within 2-4 hours. I kept trying to log in and it still didn’t work. I emailed Vorwerk again and they told me, after I waited over 4 hours, that the cookidoo team needs my address as proof that I live in the UK, don’t know why that’s necessary but I sent it anyway. No reply from them. I then emailed again and again no reply. This morning I called vorwerk and explain what happened and she apologised and asked me to wait a bit and they would call me back. Over 2 hours later still no call so I called them again, this time with a more angry tone because the thermomix is not a very affordable gadget. I was told the cookidoo team is not replying to their emails.
I know there’s a world pandemic going on at the moment but I have friends that had the same problem recently and it got fixed quite quickly.
