Ratings and Reviews
Just started programme
I’m finding this really helpful. I know that it is early days but I’ve made a good start. Am on day 4 and lost an inch off my waist and a couple of pounds. Am motivated to do this as have 3 diabetic close relatives and my weight has crept up a bit over last few years.
First time I’ve done anything like this. Am finding that it’s motivating to log calories down in this simple format. It calculates what you need to do in a straightforward way. The meals app is useful to. I also like the tips and encouraging advice.
I downloaded this App a week ago so I could get a head start on how it all works. I stocked up on the essentials having looked at some recipes and today is my first day of achieving my goal to shed a lot of pounds!
Like other reviews have already said it would be amazing to have the recipes just for one instead of 4 people. I only cook for me and yes I can batch freeze the rest which is handy when I work crazy shifts meaning I’m not tempted to snack on rubbish. However, my first recipe Sausage and Bean Stew allegedly serves 4. Four???? It says to use 2, yes 2, low fat sausages - for four people???? That can’t be right, can it? Surely this is an error. I’ve portioned it all up into the four and quite frankly if I was having guests I’m pretty sure they would have nipped out for pizza 🤣
So to sum up….great App in itself with some tasty looking recipes, easy to record your starting weight/waste measurement, fab little shopping list section that lets you put them into aisles (god only knows how you actually do that) lots of written encouragement and tips and on the whole it’s very easy to use.
But can the people involved with the actual food/recipe section have a word because I’m sure some of it’s wrong!
Integration with nhs weight loss app?
This is a handy app to get some inspiration. I tweak the recipes a bit (making sure not to increase the calories!) but as I’m using the weight loss app as well could the two integrate? What I mean is if I am on easy meals app I can tap “made this” to log it within weight loss tracking. And vice versa if I’m in the weight loss app if I can search for recipes to add to my food tracking diary. I see both apps are published by public health England so i hope this could be possible to develop. Thanks!
