The free, community-built map of gender-inclusive toilets across the UK. Find a unisex loo near you & add one too!
Finding a toilet should be one of the most basic things. For many trans and non-binary people, it isn't.
Open Lavs is a free, community-built map of gender-inclusive and unisex toilets across the UK - pubs, cafés, libraries, museums, restaurants, community spaces, and anywhere else where everyone is welcome to use the facilities without worry.
A sister project to FiveforFive (fiveforfive.co.uk), Open Lavs was born out of a love for our extended queer family, and a frustration at having to change plans because there was no loo we could use. In 2026, with all the disgusting policing of bodies and expressions, something like Open Lavs feels more essential than ever.
FIND A LOO NEAR YOU
Search by address or postcode to see the nearest inclusive toilets
Use "Near me" to instantly find locations sorted by distance
Filter by venue type - cafés, pubs, museums, cinemas, libraries, and more
Filter by accessibility - wheelchair access, baby changing, RADAR key
COMMUNITY VERIFIED
Every location on the map has been reviewed by a volunteer moderator before going live. Once three community members confirm a location is inclusive, it earns a STAR Community Verified badge. Verified locations show when they were last confirmed, so you know the information is current.
SOMETHING WRONG?
If a venue is no longer inclusive, you can report it directly from the location page. Reports are reviewed promptly and locations removed if necessary. Keeping the map accurate is a community effort.
ADD A PLACE
Know a venue that should be on the map? You can submit it in under two minutes. Tap the type chips to select all that apply, add any helpful notes about access, and submit. A moderator will review it before it goes live.
COMPLETELY FREE
Open Lavs is a volunteer community project. It is free to use, free to contribute to, and always will be. There are no ads, no subscriptions, and no data selling. Ever.
WHAT'S NEW (version 1.0):
Initial release of Open Lavs - find gender-inclusive toilets near you across the UK, add new locations, and help verify existing ones.
