Oto is the leading tinnitus coaching app that aims to transform the life of those living with tinnitus. Designed by tinnitus experts all living with tinnitus themselves, our unique coaching program has helped thousands get their life back from tinnitus.

In just a few minutes a day, Oto will help you to tune out tinnitus so you can focus on what matters. Over 86% of Oto app users say they ‘feel better’ within just one month.

This is not a cure. Unfortunately, there isn’t one. But when you’ve finished Oto’s program, you won’t need one.

Join others living with tinnitus and manage your tinnitus symptoms with the Oto app.

Founded by military doctors and backed by world-leading tinnitus specialists, the Oto program has been expertly designed to help you feel calmer, sleep better, and find control.

Oto will provide you with guidance and daily digital coaching sessions, you will learn habituation - a step-by-step process where you discover how to tune out tinnitus and develop coping mechanisms to help you manage your tinnitus and over time you’ll become less and less aware of it so eventually you can forget it’s even there.

First, Oto will assess your tinnitus stage to then recommend a personalised 'habituation' plan for you. Habituation is when your brain no longer reacts negatively to tinnitus, so that you stop noticing it. Whatever your stage, we can help reduce the impact of your tinnitus.

You can listen to just 5-10 minute audio sessions each day which will introduce you to a range of clinically proven techniques. Over the course of the program, you’ll learn the tools and techniques that work best for you and your tinnitus. Gaining an understanding of these techniques can help to relieve your tinnitus impact. Enjoy the renowned guidance of Anna Pugh - an award-winning audiologist and tinnitus coach - from the comfort of your own home with the daily sessions.

Through patience and commitment, you will learn how to tune out tinnitus......

“After having a scuba diving accident, I developed tinnitus. I found Oto, wow, what a blessing. I was going off my mind and suddenly this had success. Keep up the sessions, go over it again. Worth every penny, it’s a lifesaver. 10/10 stars Thanks to the Oto team.” - Clinton

“The OTO app has changed my life. I have had tinnitus for 3 years with no success in dealing with it. When I found the app and used it every day my life changed. It hasn’t cured it but has helped me get in with my life instead of being a hostage to the noise. Each day is easier and brighter. Thank you.” - Taylor

To know that I’m not alone struggling with tinnitus has been a life saver, the app has given me a community plus incredible ways to cope. As a very busy nurse I’ve sometimes wanted to even lose my hearing than cope with this which I know sounds ungrateful and dramatic but that’s what it can do to you. Thank you all so much for this app which is slowly being integrated into my life and helping me so much. Bless u George and the team

Another expensive subscription with nothing to justify it.

It’s terrible that an app that offers help to such a debilitating illness is so expensive, apart form offering 1:1 help that would be expensive & I’m sure is limited there is nothing than you can from a free sounds app & research on how to treat Tinnitus, for which there is a wealth of free information. The intro video has terrible audio (and production) quality where’s it’s obviously been compressed down for streaming. I get the developers have to make a living and this can’t be free but for £10 a month what are you actually offering for that money a put together web page app of documents and audio recordings which you never have to update. If you sold this at a decent affordable price with paid options for 1:1 advice. I could understand but £10 a month is just fleecing poor tinnitus sufferers & I bet many have money worries that this only adds too! App subscription is the scourge of digital help, rarely does it offer anything in return just a great way for developers to make money from selling the same thing over & over.

Ed here, one of Oto’s founders. Thank you for your review but it is clear that you have not really evaluated the product before writing - it feels like you got upset by the fact that we have a paid subscription and reacted with this review.
We have a lot of free content, which we do update regularly - in fact we updated the first 7 days just this month - all of which is free.
We also host free webinars, offer support over chat and even a free expert consultation.
All of the sounds in the app are also free.
I disagree that £10 a month is a lot of money - the tools you learn in the app will stay with you for the long run... but you don't need to keep paying after you have learned them and you're feeling better. It’s 10x cheaper than a private audiologist or ENT.
I would urge you to try the free content in the app again and perhaps if your opinion changes you can update your review :).

I have tinnitus myself so we’re certainly not trying to fleece people. I'd love to chat further if you’d be open to it - you can contact me on ed@joinoto.com. We’re always trying to do a better job.

Trial period far too short

Honestly, the trial period of one week is too short for an app that is so expensive and one where you have to stump up the full year’s payment up front. Yes, it’s 9.99 a week but you have to pay for the full year in one go. It makes me think the developers are not truly confident it works for people otherwise you’d be able to pay for it monthly with the option of cancelling the subscription on a monthly basis (like most other apps). I would have tried it for longer if it wasn’t so much money required up front just on the off chance it might help.

Trialling it for one week made no difference to my tinnitus.

Developer Response ,

Hey there, we do offer a monthly subscription, which you are free to cancel at any time. If you would like, we'd be more than happy to offer you a free month to explore Oto as much as you like. Please message us either in-app or at hello@joinoto.com and we'll gladly extend your free trial :)
