Very good dictionary

I have read the reviews from the previous versions but they don’t reflect this new version, definitely. Bookmark a word, do random words search, sync bookmarks with your other devices over cloud; these are all the features I found at a first glance. Just downloaded.

Plus I believe it’s good to have it when you read a newspaper online or a book offline, you can access it immediatly from the menu bar, not that opening a new browser tab and looking for the word you wish won’t do it, but I find this option better (just my opinion).
Also my internet was not stable lately so every time I had to look for a word definition, it would take ages for the browser to load, so with this app on the menu bar, I don’t depend on the internet connection.

Waste of money

simply go for the free oxford advanced lerners dictionary rather than waste 10 quids here, believe me i regret paying for this while i can get the advanced one which is way better, or invest 30 quids in the full package of oxford advanced

Better than the Lion/Mountain lion Oxford dictionary

Despite a recent review, if you want better navigation, more words and audio output it is worth the additional purchase, even though Lion onwards OS does have an Oxford dictionary of sorts. Being an overgrown schoolboy, I discovered that all the vulgar words are turned off by default and need to be unblocked in Preferences. I don't know what proportion of words have audio pronunciation so I will say most, but not all. None of the phrases seem to be spoken. Very similar to the CD version or COED11 I had in Windoze some years ago.
