Subscriptions to Pacer Premium are $9.99 per month or $49.99 for a full year. Pacer Premium subscriptions will be charged to your iTunes account after your confirmation of purchase.

You can use your iTunes account to subscribe and pay for Pacer Premium. Payment will be charged to your iTunes account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions will renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, and will renew at the same cost. You can manage subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal by going to your iTunes Account Settings after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that service, where applicable.

Awesome

Awesome app. I’ve tired many other apps before but this one. Pacer has to be the best of them all for walking, and running. It’s awesome of keeping track when burning kcals. I would like to give 5 stars but...The running side could be far better (user friendly). My question is, why when running can’t the app work when you’re walking? The screen goes off and it interrupts your workout, if like me you like the numbers in front of you instead of looking for them? While walking you have screen on with all the data in front of your eyes, so if you want to push that little extra you can do where the running side is different. It’s awesome that you can see (Map) from The GPS where you’re running/walking but I like the data (kcal and distance) in front of my eyes where it’s perfectly visible. If the running side could be updated I would by far give this app 10 stars.

Used to be a great app but recent change to layout of weight graph is shocking

Recent update seems to have changed the layout of the weight graph so that rather than showing a range from lower recorded data to higher, it now starts at 0kg. Which means that it suddenly appears as if someone’s weight is right at the top end of the chart even if that weight is underweight, and therefore giving the impression that weights all the way down to 0 are possible.
I work as a nurse in an eating disorder inpatient unit and a few of patients use this app to log their activity and weight (which is not always helpful in the first place) but this recent change is massively inappropriate and misleading. Based on my own readings, I would be dead by midway down the graph.
Please can this be fixed in the next update?! You have made a change that could be really harmful to the mental and physical health of many vulnerable people. And even as a ‘regular’ user, it makes me less inclined to carry on using the app as I used to use it to occasionally log my own weight to check I’m maintaining a healthy BMI, but now feel like this new version of the weight graph is suggesting I should lose weight (not the case in actuality)!

A great app and fantastic motivation

Initially it was frustrating to find that a lot of the functions and info was hidden behind a subscription paywall. However, after a few days of use sticking purely to the free elements and social side of the app (group challenges, friend challenges, monthly global user comparison challenges) I found this app still did the majority of what I needed when used in conjunction with the Apple Health app.

Overall as a person trying to get fit again I find this app to be a great motivation (especially if you sign up for the monthly distance challenge and friends also use the app) and I find the GPS tracking to be more accurate than the app that comes with my pedometer (very fit pro in case you’re wondering)

So yes while the subscription stuff would be useful to see it’s not essential and unlike other mainstream tracker apps it’s still extremely useful and a great motivational tool without it!
