Palfish Teacher-English Tutor 4+

I signed up to PalFish a few years ago while I was in university but only used it a few times, A few months ago I got back into it and saw a banner for the official kids course and had a go. My interview went really well and my interviewer was very helpful and gave me some tips but told me there and then that I got the job. For the official kids course all of the curriculum is provided for you, you’re just expected to review it before starting class. For the first few months it can be very repetitive because you’re teaching trial classes because you’re obviously a new teacher and don’t have regular students so I worked through as many trial classes as I could, kept my schedule open for peak hours BEIJING TIME this is very important. In the uk that’s anywhere from 11am to 3pm but on the weekends it can be anywhere from like 3am to 3pm and on weekends I got loads of bookings! I’m starting to get regular students much more frequently now and that has made the app way more enjoyable as I’m not teaching the same trial slides over and over. I get paid every month it started off around £300 and then my pay increased the more classes I started taking. Last month I earned £650 just doing weekends while I was in university. I would recommend this app to any teacher who wants to earn extra money!

I started working of PalFish as a teacher on the Official kids course in February 2018, and have been full time ever since. I’m now able to travel the world and carry my job with me, earning way above than an average income, making my own hours and being part of a great community. I’m truly grateful for the position I’m in. What I’d say to the developers, bring landscape mode back. The app should rotate together with the iPad. It can be near impossible to teach if one doesn’t have the iPad stand with them, especially if we need to charge the device at the same time. This used to be a feature early on, I don’t see why now it’s portrait mode only.

I’ve been working with PalFish for over 6 months and absolutely love it. Perfect job. I adore all the students and the teachers are really supportive too. You get out of it what you put in and if you’re committed it does pay off. The lessons are fun and the pay is good. You have to build your profile up and aim to get regular students. It’s like a social media type app so you can post moments and gain a following and earn the trust of the staff and students by being active on the app. ❤️
