I can’t recommend this app highly enough. The user-friendly interface made planning and navigating so much easier, saving us both time and hassle.During our two-week winter campervan trip across Europe, my partner and I found this app to be a lifesaver. It allowed us to quickly mark our location and access essential details like prices and opening hours with ease.I opted for the premium features at just £2 per month for additional filters, which were well worth it, but the free version is still fantastic and highly functional.

This was a cracking app, until they introduced ‘updates’ which introduced bugs. Now unable to use the app as it freezes when trying to use your favourites. Spent years building up favourites which they then introduce an update which only allows you to use 200, or you need to create subfolders with limits of 500 per subfolder. Now unable to use my favourites and the FAQ’s advise you to create subfolders and remove favourites one by one. This is not even possible as the app is soo slow and freezes then crashes..apparently due to the number of favourites you have.. No warning of this and support not resolved the issue. This will take me ages to remove then add 1500 favourites to sub folders once they fix the performance issue, if they ever do. Very poor, support need to fix this in the back end rather than expect paying users to undertake a massive task which is not even possible as the app crashes! Come on support get this rolled back, give some warnings at least, this is basic change management.

We used this App 2 years ago when visiting Scotland and it was great. We’re currently using it and it’s gone downhill drastically. Moderators you need to clean up peoples posts, the App is clearly called Park4night, not park for a few hours during the day. People are posting about stops that are not for overnighting wasting our time wading through lots of options causing much confusion. Why post “a great place but no overnight stays” creating a map entry, wasting space on the map and peoples time searching through unsuitable options.Why not get people to fill in a questionnaire style form to enable posting, things like -“Can you park overnight” yes/no“Are there height restrictions” yes/no“Is the road accessible for large motorhomes” yes/no“Is there a charge” yes/noThis can eliminate the wheat from the chaff making what was a great app usable again. Last night we wasted 20/30 minutes each time we went somewhere unsuitable leaving us in a noisy roadside lay-by at 10pm with 3 children under 8, not a nice experience.Why don’t you incorporate the App ‘What Three Words’ as a means of locating places, last night we drove round and round trying to find somewhere that in the end had height restrictions. We navigated small roads with no passing places to end up miles down a lane not being able to get into the spot anyway.Please make this app great again.................

I’ve been using this app for two years and had a paid subscription. We only used it this year for the first time last week, and at first it worked on the free plan. But the very next day, while driving, the app completely stopped working — just a blank white screen with some French words. I tried everything from the FAQ, even reinstalled it, but nothing fixed the problem.Yes, there’s a web version, but when you’re traveling, you often lose signal, so that’s not an option. The app didn’t work for three whole days. If I hadn’t had backup apps and relied solely on Park4Night, my entire trip would have been ruined. That’s unacceptable for any navigation app people depend on.What made it worse is the huge problem with the places marked as suitable for overnight stays. Many spots showed a blue “P” in the app, but when you get there, there are clear “No overnight” signs. Sometimes the app even shows places where overnight parking is prohibited as okay spots. I understand users add these places, but many people believe these locations are verified and accurate. Then you drive 20 miles only to find out you’re not allowed to stay there at all.This only damages the reputation of the community and the app. Some people respect the local rules, but when I asked others why they stayed despite the ban, the answer was “Because it’s on Park4Night.”And are the places on the map only visible to logged-in users? How am I supposed to log in without signal?I emailed the developer, and the app started working again only on the way back home.Honestly, I’m done with this app and looking for something better.
