Editors’ Notes

Pavilion’s so beautiful, we could spend hours admiring its dreamlike world. Which is sort of what its main character does...until you start flicking lights off and on or ringing bells to get him to walk around and explore. Between the minimal guidance and tricky levels, it can take a bit to learn how to manipulate the environment so he reaches exits. Keep at it—the challenges and the sense of mystery only grow stronger as you go.

One of, if not the best, iPhone game of its kind!

Having played quite a lot of these adventure puzzle-like games I can honestly say Pavilion was an absolute joy to get lost in! So much attention to detail for such a little guy in a pretty crazy world, and the puzzles weren’t stupidly easy, or stupidly hard either! They were intelligent and impressive, puzzles that take actual effort to solve; just what you need to get your brain going! One of those games that make you feel a teeny bit sad when you’ve completed it. Chapter 2 better be here soon!!! ✌🏼

A Beautiful Dream

This is quite simply one of the most beautiful games I have played on iOS. It is both visually and aurally mesmerising with maze-like puzzles that lead you through dreamworlds. There are plenty of sequences where you are watching the character move rather than doing the moving, but that’s fine. Ring bells, switch lights and drag cubes to engage with the game. There are a couple of bugs with getting your character into place later on, but developers you are onto such a gorgeous game, it’s worth persevering.
Looking forward to chapter 2.
