Home location constantly wrong
Can’t find any way to change my home location. Whenever the app opens it’s in the wrong place so it gives me false alerts. Annoying. Apart from that it’s very good. Just needs a way to manually set your default location.
Best tracker I’ve tried - love it!
The Pawfit app is one of the best I’ve used, and has plenty of options for tracking and displaying where my dog has been. If she strays too far and can’t hear me calling there’s an option to sound an alarm on the tracker which would help me locate her. There’s also an option to turn on the light on the tracker to help if it’s dark. I’m not sure how helpful this would be as it doesn’t seem very bright, but I’ve not actually tested that yet so can’t really comment. I also love the fact I can give access to view her location with other users who have the app - great for dog walkers.
The other great feature is the ID button on the tracker. If she was to go missing and someone found her, pressing the button on the tracker will literally speak my details to whoever presses it. You can choose between any or all of: my name, pets name, phone number and address (although I wouldn’t recommend using pets name or address).
The one thing that would make this app better for me would be having the option to extend the 10 minute live tracking. I understand it uses a lot of battery but I use this a lot when my dog goes chasing wildlife in the woods on walks so I’m having to keep a constant eye on the timer so I can restart it.
Have to knock 4 starts off after latest update. For developers to pay attention
I’ve been using it this app for over a month and i liked everything about it but latest update prompted me to write this review as it introduced very very annoying feature. When live tracking is on it zooms on dogs location so much that it is impossible to understand where the dog is relating to me location. And it does it not very 5 sec as position updates. If i zoom out it will zoom in again and again... hate it. Please developers read this review and fix this problem as it makes otherwise great up almost unusable!!!!
I’ll write another review once it’s fixed.
