Description

Let’s be honest: It’s not always easy to get excited about a calculator. But PCalc is well more than the sum of its parts; this beautifully designed utility is filled with high-powered features and functions that will appeal to everyone from engineers to programmers to students going to, well, pre-calc. If you’re a fan of scientific notation, trigonometry, and/or unit conversion, add this to your dock.
Good, but needs a couple of basic finance tweaks
I bought this on the strength of the review at thesweetsetup which is generally very helpful.
It is flexible and customisable and well set up for engineering but with a couple of tweaks would be a good basic business calculator, as I don’t want to fire up a spreadsheet every time I want to do a basic DCF / compound interest calculation - just need a basic set of finance calculations as per HP80 which had these in 1975
stats I tend to do on spreadsheet, even though allRPNCalc, my normal iOS calculator has this.
currency calculator would be nice as well.

UPDATE: For the last few months, the slow startup has been back, consistently taking around 16-20 seconds to open. I expect that of a large application such as an image editor; but not of a small App Store application, and especially one which is often needed quickly for one brief but timely task.
Please, please fix this once and for all.
OLD REVIEW: After more than a year of inaction, the very slow start up (> 15 sec) seems finally to have been fixed. A good calculator app is now usable once more.
