“PDF Converter lets you convert practically any file on your iOS device into pro-grade PDFs” – AppAdvice.
The process is 100% secure since conversion is done locally on your iPad or iPhone. Your documents will never have to leave the device! What’s even better, is that you don’t need internet connection to do this.
Once installed, PDF Converter appears in the "Open In..." list on your device. This lets you save a PDF from Mail, Dropbox, Documents 5 and any other application on your device.
PDF Converter does support iCloud Drive, so you can collaborate with other apps easily. Starting with iOS 8 you can convert files stored in iCloud Drive folders of other apps and share PDFs between apps. Whenever you’ve done converting the document, you can save the PDF back to iCloud Drive.
Extensions let you convert web-pages from Safari and photos from Photo Library without even opening PDF Converter. Once enabled, Photo extension gives you an ability to convert several photos from Photo Library into a multi-page PDF file.
To convert web-page just change "http" to "pdfhttp" in Safari address bar and tap Go. With iOS8 you can convert web-pages using Actions extension directly from Safari.
With PDF Converter you can make PDFs from:
- Email Attachments
- iWork and MS Office documents
- Web pages
- Files from other applications
- Clipboard content
- Documents on Dropbox and iCloud Drive
PDF Converter supports the following document formats:
Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Pages, Numbers, Keynote, TXT, HTML, JPG, PNG, Safari webarchive.

Basically, a good value app.
Does what it says n the tin and, if you invest in the Readdle suite of iOS Apps, together they are a peerless iOS workflow in terms of the functions provided.
Unlike one or two close competitors, this App can get confused by longer webpages when it is summoned by the iOS Share feature. Meaning, sometimes, either nothing happens or only the URL is captured. In these circumstances, the information window implies that you have a PDF file when you in fact have just the URL (exactly as it does when you really do have a PDF file created from the contents of a webpage).
Now, the app has a function to then use that URL to create said PDF from inside the App (it's in the latter hand actions pane).
So, if considering this App, perhaps it's worth waiting until the information pop-up telling you your PDF is being made, only says that when it's true with different text for when the app can only capture the URL.
PS: I'm putting this info here because my feedback was solicited to be presented hear by Readdle. Normally, I would email it or use a forum. Tip for Readdle: beware what you ask for....
Works great but not bundled well
Seems to save everything especially web pages BUT I bought a bundle including a pointless calendar program and has to get this separate - make a lot more sense to bundle this
You are not taking care of this app as much as his brothers
This is a nice app and it is so useful, I recently bought it for £6.99 and was expecting something much better because I am familiar with all other Readdle apps, its all great apart from this one.
You need to deal with the following:
1- I can not open this app with another app side by side in my iPad Pro.
2- You should add support to links in the generated PDF. When I press on a link in the generated PDF it should still work and takes me to that link.
3- the resolution is not comparable with the new iPad Pro.
4- please add possibility of making folders and organise files in the app.
5- icon of the app seems too old.
6- also this app should get support of drag and drop files between two apps, this one and pdf expert and documents app.
I understand that since apple add the possibility to generate PDF files from the browser you stopped supporting this app like before, but that option is not good like your app. In many times it can not generate a proper PDF file for all the continents in the page, so please take more care of your app. Otherwise, reduce the price, £6.99 is too expensive for the app in its current form.
