Love this app
This is brilliant app for scanning old photos and creating digital files. Scans, crops and enhances old photos. You don’t have to have a subscription everything you need is free. I purchased the app and love it. All the family photos from when my parents were young are now in digital format at my fingertips to have on my computer and phone. Easily edited in any software. One thing I just came across is the colourise feature. It will turn old black and white photos into colour amazing! I think this feature may need more developing since on photos which have shadows it doesn’t quite get the colours right. For example a hand in the shade may turn out blue or grey. But on well lit photos it works perfectly. I’ll be looking for updates to this feature and hope that it can be figured out. Thanks for an amazing app x

Great quality reproduction
The quality of reproduction of photos (using an iPhone XS) is excellent. The app compares very favourably to results from a flatbed 300dpi scanner but is far, far quicker. In many cases the original photo is improved by the app. I set the phone on a tripod and use the “go” voice command which produces really sharp results. The auto crop and auto touching up works really well 90% of the time again saving time and effort.
The thing it struggles with is phone reflections in very dark or white areas of glossy photos. I’ve tried all kinds of lighting set ups, strategically placed black cloths and the suggestions on the Photomyne site including buying a photo tent which didn’t work. The only solution I’ve found is to slightly tilt the phone and position the photo in half the frame, sacrificing quality; the app copes well with the slight distortion and straightens the final picture well. But this isn’t ideal. I’ve tried google photo scan but that has other problems. Any ideas developers?
I don’t need the photomyne subscription / cloud service but the reminder to subscribe appears every time this paid app is opened. I am now used to cancelling that screen each time, but you need to take care not to hit the free trial / subscribe button.

Perfect for sharing on social networks!
The quality is good enough for enlarging and printing but is perfect for sharing among family and friends. It's quick and easy to use and an album is ready to post in minutes.
If somebody wants a better copy for printing they can choose it and ask you to scan it for them. This will take longer to do one than it probably took to do the whole album using this app.
I can see myself using it a lot.
I have just tried the colourising feature. I can’t believe how brilliant it is.
