Fantastic app but needs a few tweaks

Just downloaded this app. So far it is fantastic and a really good idea. My 5 year old is having a great time reading the books and any words he doesn’t know he can just tap on the word and it tells him. It has all the oxford reading books (biff and chip) as well as so many others.
However, there a few frustrating things that could be tweaked.
Firstly the only way I can see to set his reading level is by age. Now some 5 year olds will be reading chapter books whilst others will still be reading the very basics. There is no way to set a rough reading stage only how old he is. I couldn’t even change his age and ended up having to delete his profile and make him a year younger in order to easily find some slightly simpler books.
Secondly, once you have set an appropriate age and the app suggest books for your child, you can’t clearly tell the stage until you download and open the book. Each book does have a level but the levels are quite bizarre and not helpful. A photo of one of the pages of the book so you can see exactly what level would be helpful. Ie is it 1-2 basic words a page or whole paragraphs etc.
Also, on the overview screen there are just images of the front covers no indication of what level they are and no way to group them eg easy readers, developing, advanced reading etc.
Lastly, if we open a book and decide it’s not suitable or what we want, there is no easy way to close it and go back. You have to scroll to the very end and finally the option to go back to the home screen appears. This is very annoying in short books so must be a nightmare with older readers and chapter books.

Good app, shame it can’t be used across iPads

Looks good and works well, but shame subscriptions cannot be used across different iPads in the the family.

Used to work, now it’s broken and support seems non-existent

This app used to work brilliantly. However it stopped working a couple of days ago on our iPad and any attempts to contact their support remain unanswered
